Power 90- Days 15-17

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Day 15-17

 

Here is how the past few days have gone….

Saturday:

Breakfast- Bran Flakes w/ low fat milk and 1/2 banana

snack- handful of almonds

lunch- chili dog (instead of a cheat day I do 3 cheat meals through out the weekend)

dinner: protein shake

 

Sunday

Breakfast: coffee and 1/2 a banana

Lunch: roast turkey sandwich (with wheat bread) sugar free lemonade

Spent 7 hours straight in the car, very tired :(

dinner: Bean burrito

 

Monday

Breakfast: Coffee

snack: turkey breast w/fat free cheese w mustard

lunch: chicken breast and broccoli

Dinner: Turkey Sloppy Joes

Cardio- 35 minutes and Ab workout

Power 90- Day 14

Friday, June 27th, 2008

Diet was ok today, didn’t get a chance to exercise :(

Since I have a new building to discover at this temp assignment I did walk around it on my lunch break which included stairs and walked back and fourth to our file room all day long.

Here is how the diet went today:

breakfast: coffee and a banana

10:30am: Fat free cottage cheese and blueberries

1:00pm: 1/2 baked chicken breast & spinach

3:00pm: handful of almonds

Dinner: (Cheat meal): Wings from Wingstop, no fries and barely ate any dressing

No soda- it has been 2 weeks since I have had a soda!!!!

Only 16 more days till I get to take my 30 day progress pic :)

Power 90- Day 13

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Today, went, ok- I guess???

Usually Friday’s are my break days, but I used weights on my sculpting workout yesterday and I am sore today, so I switched the days so that the break day would be today.

Here is how the diet went:

7:30am: Coffee, scrambled egg whites w/cheese

10:30am: slice of turkey breast & fat free cheese rolled together w/mustard

1:00pm: handful of almonds

(I was working at a new temp assignment so I was not able to eat my lunch, I got too busy)

4:00pm: handful of almonds

6:30pm: Grilled Chicken Salad- no dressing

I am going to do cardio tomorrow :)

Power 90- Day 12

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

Today went really well!

8:00am: Coffee, Bran Flakes, and 1/2 a banana w/low fat milk

9:00am: Worked Out- Sculpting Video Phase 1 & 2 (used 5 lbs weights)

11:00am: 2 Egg whites w/onions & cheese

2:00pm: Fat free cottage cheese w/ blueberries

4:30pm: Small handful of almonds

6:30pm: Salad w/ low fat turkey breast deli meat (no dressing)

Clothes are starting to fit differently, which is really exciting :)

Power 90- Day 11

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

I took my mother to the doctor today and asked is I could step on their scale since it was just like the one at my doctor’s office and they said sure. I was in total shock when she said "153"! I weighed in at my doctor’s office a few weeks before I started the Power 90 and I was at 164, so I am totally pleased with my results so far :)

Here is how today went:

5:30am: Cardio- Phase 1 & 2

6:30am: Coffee & banana ( I had to leave in a hurry)

9:30am: Handful of Almonds

12:30pm: Fat Free Cottage Cheese w/blueberries

3:30pm: Tuna w/salsa

6:00pm: Ground turkey tacos (I had a whole wheat/low carb tortilla)

Nothing but water after the coffee!

Power 90- Day 10

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

I am so amazed at my progress so far on this Power 90 system! Just for kicks I wanted to remeasure myself just to see if I have lost any inches and I have in several areas!!!! So I WILL keep pushing play everyday :)

Here is how today went:

8:00 am: 1/2 banana w/peanut butter & cup of coffee

9:00am: Worked out- Sculpting video Phase 1 & 2

10:45am: Protein shake with 1/2 a banana & supplements

1:00pm: 2 slices of turkey breast & fat free cheese rolled together w/mustard

3:30pm: small handful of almonds

5:30pm: We went to the movies and instead of movie theater popcorn I popped a 100 calorie snack bag of popcorn before we left and took a bottle of water with me :)

8:15pm: 1/2 grilled chicken breast w/ spinach

I am so happy with my results this far and I am already planning that when I complete my 90 days on this program I will then move to the p90x!

Power 90- Day 9

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

Day 9 has been pretty good :)

I can tell that I am able to do more on the cardio workout than when I started!

Here is how the day has gone:

7:30am: Wake

8:00am: Bran Flakes w/low fat milk & 1/2 of a banana

10:45am: supplements & 1/2 banana

1:00pm: We went to Roadhouse today! I had the Grilled Salmon w/ steamed veggies & a house salad (no dressing) and 1 roll (((I only ate half of what they brought me and put the other half in a to-go container)))

4:00pm: worked out- Cardio Phase 1 & 2

6:45pm: Had the remainder of the lunch from today (yum!)

Power 90- Day 8

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

Day 8 has gone fairly as planned….

I started the sculpting workout video today and I was able to do most of the exercises, but not as many reps as they were, but I will get there!

Here is how the diet went:

8:30am: 2 biscuits w/ gravy (yum!) I used the pioneer gravy mix so I didn’t have as much fat or cabs as if it would have been homeade from bacon grease…

9:30am: Worked out

11:00am: Protein shake with a banana

2:00pm: Tuna w/salsa

4:00pm: handful of almonds

7:00pm: We went to Razzoo’s andI had grilled chicken and only ate a half of it and I did have some fried pickles (but I kept it at a good portion size and didn’t over do it)

All in all I feel pretty good today and learning on how to make better eating decisions, cause I really wanted the fried shrimp basket!

Power 90- Day 6 & 7

Power 90- Day 6

 

Today was totally awesome!

I woke up around 7:30 had a cup of coffee, then exercised to the cardio and ab ripper video (the coffee really helped me on energy for the workout)

9:00am: Egg white omelet w/chicken and veggies

11:30am: Slice of turkey breast & a slice of fat free cheese w/ mustard

2:00pm: Handful of almonds

(had an interviews from 3-5:30)

6:30pm: Ground turkey pattie w/ fat free cheese and brussel sprouts

Nothing else but water for the rest of the day :)

Tomorrow I get to start bringing back in whole grain carbs and other carbs like yams and oatmeal…. I am so excited!

 

Power 90- Day 7

 

Well, according to the scale it looks like I lost another pound :)

Day 7 is a day of rest, so I did not work out today; however, I worked a temp job today where I was very active reorganizing their filing system so alot of up and down on a step ladder, lifting boxes, etc…

The cool thing about day 7 is I also get a cheat meal :)

Here is how my diet went:

5:30am: cup of coffee- I left for work and left my breakfast on the counter :(

8:30am: Handful of almonds

11:30am: edame (sp?) soybeans & yogurt

2:30pm: a few pretzels

5:00pm: a handful of almonds

Dinner: I had a nacho supreme from Taco Bell

Drank water all day, and I so wanted a soda soooooo bad; but I didn’t give in to temptation! Day 8- I will start the sculpting video workout so I get some carbs in the morning to endure the workout. Funny how they tell you to eat some carbs before resistance training and for cardio to do that on an empty stomach?!

Power 90- Day 5

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

Today my body is sore and even in my stomach muscles and I still have the pounding headache, I knew I would not make it through a work out so I stretched today and cleaned house most of the day, so I counted that as cardio- since I was scrubbing and every thing :)

Here is how the diet went today:

Breakfast 8am: Banana w/peanut butter & a cup of coffee (I couldn’t drink the whole cup since I only used one spoonful of creamer and a packet of splenda; but I thought it would help the headache)

10:30am: slice of turkey breast w/fat free cheese rolled up and alittle mustard.

12:30pm: Egg white omelet w/chicken and veggies

3:00pm: Handful of Almonds

5:45pm: Grilled chicken salad with about a tablespoon of Balsamic vingarette

Nothing but water all day after the 3/4 cup of coffee. And I remained pretty active most of the day.

I only have 1 more day of the strict no to very low carb stuff then I get to slowly put things back into the diet and start the sculpting workout and the other phase of cardio. I keep going, I know that in the end it will all be worth it :)
