From Flabulous to Fabulous

In January, the local news in Dallas, TX released a report of a new steroid crackdown in bodybuilding. It was previously thought that bodybuilding would be left alone, since it is not a "major league" sport. However, because of the huge sales and distribution of steroids by many amateur and professional bodybuilders, the feds are cracking down on the sport.

In the January news report, I was astonished when I heard that IFBB Pro Art Atwood was under federal indictment for steroid distribution. He was alleged caught, after his Plano, TX apartment was raided by federal authorities. There hasn’t been any updates to his case that I know of yet.

I was personally upset to hear about Art’s steroid dealings. I remember meeting him at the gym two years ago. I had just gotten up from doing some lat rows, and I looked over to my left and saw him walk in. Everyone stood there and starred at him, and I was the only one who had the "courage" to go up to him. I guess they thought he would be an ass hole or something. But he was far from it. He was very cool and laid back. I hope the best for him and the industry as a whole. Although I’m against steroid abuse, I’d hate to see it regulated in bodybuilding because I love the look of the modern bodybuilder. Although, I think they should cut the growth gut and tighten the waistline.

I’m sure you’ve heard that many celebs are being investigated for steroid and hgh abuse. The top celebs include: 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, Tyler Perry, and Super Producer Timbaland. I’m not sure how I feel about this. I’m personally against steroid abuse, especially in the main stream media. I’m just sick of the persona’s and "images" they portray.

I’m further more extremely bothered about steroids in main stream sports. It’s bad enough there’s so much cheating amongst officials and referees. Adding steroids makes it even worse.

I’ve been taking creatine for the past 4 weeks, and I’ve noticed that my heart has been racing like crazy after each set in the gym. Is this normal? It might not be the creatine, but I don’t remember this happening before I started taking it. I hope this s**t doesn’t kill me.

I love the results though. So I don’t want to stop taking it.

My joints (elbows and knees) hurt all the time. And the always pop. I put a lot of weight on my biceps, and their always sore. So having sore biceps and cracking elbows makes me feel like my arms don’t even work.

I take Glucosamine Sulfate now. Is there anything else I can take? Glucosamine doesn’t do crap. Are there any joint exercises I can do? I really need someone’s help on this one.

For those that read my blogs, I apologize for not writing in a while. I’ve been designing a t-shirt line, and it’s taking about 15 hours a day. I’m literally working around the clock. I love it though. I’ve always been really creative. And I’ve also always been very opinionated. (If you read my blogs, you definately know that)

I promise to get more active on my blog. I was also gone for a while, because I was waiting for the blog counter to get fixed. It seems to be fixed now, so that’s really exciting.
