Hangover? Fix it with Oatmeal

Yes! That’s right, Oatmeal can drastically and almost instantly take away the pain and symptoms of hang overs. I talked about "The Power of Oatmeal" in a previous blog post, but this time around, I thought I’d give people a more practical example of Oatmeal’s illustrious power.

The Research According to The University of Wales:

Researchers fed an oatmeal breakfast to some hungover college students. Here’s why there hangovers went away. Oatmeal has slowly digestible carbohydrates which fare much better on mood, memory, and overall mental capacity compared to people’s normal simple sugar induced breakfasts like cold cereal. Mental capacity and clarity is what’s drastically reduced when you are "hungover."
The Remedy Recipe:

Prepare a packet of plain oatmeal according to the package directions, but instead of the sugar and milk you might ordinarily add to the mix, just stir in 1 Tbsp of crunchy peanut butter to increase digestion-slowing fiber and add protein, which has also been linked to improving mental performance. This recipe makes 1 serving.

Serving Details:

- 192 Calories
- 8 grams of protein
- 20 grams of carbs
- 10 grams of fat
- 2 grams of saturated fat
- 4 grams of fiber
- 157 milligrams of sodium

For those of you reading this, you can thank me latter. LOL! Hopefully this works for you. It DEFINITELY WORKS FOR ME!

Ha ha. Thanks for sharing. I’ll definitely test that out sometime.

You should test it out. I started getting hooked on oatmeal a couple months ago after finding out about all the cool effects it has on your body, not to mention it’s Mr. Olympia’s (Jay Cutler) favorite food.

    I eat oatmeal twice a day. It’s also EXCELLENT as a pre-workout (weight-lifting) food.
