Low carb day

October 26, 2009

Yesterday I decided to highly restrict my carbs to see how it would affect my energy level.  I was fine until late afternoon when I got a little sluggish.  I don’t think I can restrict my carbs that much and workout because I won’t have the energy.  I’ll stick to doing this on days that I don’t lift heavy.

Training yesterday was off the chain!  I trained shoulders and back and felt really good afterwards.  I also ate very well and got about 9 hours of sleep!!  Ready for the next chapter!!

Here we go!!

My trainer and I have decided that I will compete next May and I’m really excited!  He pushes me hard and is an excellent motivator!!  My biggest obstacle will be the pre-contest diet.  I already eat clean and do cardio 3x a week.  It’s just right before the TOM my cravings get out of control!!!  Nothing will stand in my way of my goal though!!

First Competition

Greetings,

I’m training for my first competition in June!  I start my pre-contest diet in March and praying that I maintain the discipline to succeed!  I haven’t had any bread or white processed food since January and I’m craving baked chocolate chip cookies!

Body Changes

March 22, 2007

Yesterday I tried on a pair of pants that fit two weeks ago but they’ve extremely big now!  The scale hasn’t moved much but alot of my clothings is too big now.  I have to remember that muscle weighs more than fat and not to go by the scale alone.

This morning I worked out by myself and worked chest and triceps.  I’ve noticed that a lot of my clothing is starting to get really loose but the scale isn’t moving much.  I know muscle weighs more than fat that’s why I’m not concerned.  I was always told by people not to go by the scale but how my clothes fit.  I can see why.

This morning was another wonderful workout.  My trainer and I did some boxing and chest training.  Afterwards, we used the foam roller to roll out the tight spots.  If you haven’t tried the foam roller, you’re missing some good stretching.

March 13, 2007

Today is March 13th and it’s cardio day!  I ran on the treadmill for 2 1/2 miles and felt great!  I really starting to see a difference in my body and energy level and I’m loving it.  It motivates me to continue and enforces that fact that I can reach all of my goals!

I had a wonderful workout with my trainer today.  We did some boxing which I really loved.  I can see how it’s going to help me with my chest, legs and cardio.  I can see a difference already and we’ve only been working out together for two weeks!
