KB Circuit #1

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

Start: 7:16am
Finish: 8:18am

Warm Up: KB warmup (seven minutes)

The following was done with a 35lb KB for 30 seconds each with the figure eight’s being reps of ten each way.

Round One
Front Squats
Figure Eight’s
Cleans (each side)
Figure Eight’s
Reverse Crossover Lunges (each side)
Figure Eight’s
One Arm BO Rows (each side)
Figure Eight’s
Squat Kicks (each side)
Figure Eight’s

Total Time: 15 minutes

The following was done with a 35lb KB for 30 seconds each with the curls/extensions and arm blasters being reps of ten each way.

Round Two
OH Lunge (each side)
Curls
Press (each side)
OH Extensions
Three-way Push
Curls
High Pulls (each side)
OH Extensions
Single Leg DL (each side)
Arm Blaster

Total Time: 16 minutes

Abs - 25lb KB
Toss - Bottom to Top (30 seconds each side)
Paddle (30 seconds)

Thoughts: I may switch to a lighter bell in an effort to not rest between movements. I don’t want to have to put the thing down at all.

I followed with twelve minutes of stretching and foam roller.

Monday, January 5th, 2009

I hurt in a lot of places today. I went to physio. I’m hoping he took care of my elbow, which was apparently caused by some tightness in the forearm and the bicep. You want to make a grown man cry, get a PT to dig into the bicep. YOWCH.

Plus my low back was bugging me. Tight glutes and a little bit of tightness in the hammie. Not sure if the back pain is going to go away or not. It’s kinda throbbing right now, but that might be because of him digging in there.

Tomorrow blood work. Checking for all sorts of goodies, including cholesterol. I get to fast for 12 hours. Dandy.. only 11 more to go.

I should be a real gem to deal with tomorrow.

KB Circuit #2

Sunday, January 4th, 2009

Start: 9:23am
Finish: 10:18am

Warm Up: KB Warm Up - 4:30

The following was done with a 35lb bell for 30 seconds, the pushups were reps of ten.

Round One

Sumo Squat
Pushups
SLDL
Pushups
C&P (each side)
Pushups (tris were fried)
Thrusters (each side)
Pushups
Rotational Lunges (each side)
Pushups
Total Time: 10:32

The following was done with a 25lb bell for 30 seconds, the arm blasters were reps of ten.

Round Two

Catcher Squat
Arm Blaster
Single Arm BO Row (each side)
Arm Blaster
Backward Lunge with KB through leg
Arm Blaster
High Pulls (each side)
Arm Blaster
Uneven Pushups (each side)
Arm Blaster
Total Time: 16:40

Abs:

Standing Elbow to Knee (30 seconds each side with 25lb bell)
Toes Forward Windmill (30 seconds each side - one side with bell, right lean without) - I’m gonna change this.

Followed with about twelve minutes of stretching and foam roller.

If the class hates me as much as I hate me right now, it will be a success.
