I’m so not stopped yet
.
Since the last post I’ve been rebuilding my appartment and it was a very stressfull time, so that period I smoked again.
But I’m trying again. I’ve not smoked since yesterday and I’m doing good. Especially since I really don’t have so much to do at work and I have to fight to not go to the smokersroom and light one up.
I really hope I can make it work this time. The last time I stopped (in Januari this year) I’ve gained 4 kg! And it wasn’t fat, it was muscles! I’m hoping for the same result this time I think it’s already the 3th or 4th time I’ve tried to stop and this is the last time I try.
So everybody who wants to help me, you are very much invited to support me in this!
See you all soon!
Greetz,
Timme

Well it’s been over a week since I’ve post the last item on the blog so here’s another update on me quitting smoking.
It’s still going very well. It still smoke 1 cigarette a day after dinner and I’m having less trouble during the day at work than I had a week ago. I can also notice change in my workouts. I seem to be able to lift more and definately run more and faster before I get tired. So I’m loving that
.
I’ve noticed today that by eating a small piece of chocolate after lunch I don’t have a craving for a cigarette. So I’m going to try that tonight when I had dinner. I do realise that chocolate isn’t so good for my weight etc… but it’s always better than smoking, no?
See ya later!

I’ve been doing well since I’ve stopped smoking. I now tend to take 2-3 drags after dinner and no more afterwards.
I still have such a craving for that cigarette. I keep on telling myself I don’t need it and that I’m doing myself a favor with every cigarette I don’t smoke.
I know I have to stop in order to live longer and to get more effect from my workouts.
So if anyone wants to motivate me, please do so!
Thanks!

Well after about 1/2 year, I finally got the time to sit down and write a post here.
Yesterday it was my first day without a sigaret. I got thro the day very well, no problem but when I ate last night I had such a craving to light one up. So stupid me, I got one and had a smoke. I must say, it was horrible. I was sick afterwards and almost trew up. I never had such a reaction (I stopped smoking and started up again several times) before. So it’s a good way to stay of those sigarettes…
I hope I can stay ‘clean’ today too.
Wish me luck!
Oh, and by the way, my training yesterday went much better without those sigarettes so that’s another good thing about it

Oh my God!
I can’t even begin to describe how happy I was when my personal trainer measured my bodyfat %.
First the history:
When I started to go to the gym september 2006 I was at 19% bodyfat.
When I did a check up in april 2007 I was at 12% bodyfat.
Another check up in june 2007 and the bodyfat was allready down to 9.1%
Last friday again a check up and my bodyfat was down to 7,5%!!!!!!
I must be doing good work because I’m even beginning to see somewhat of a sixpack on the upperside of my abs (especially when I just worked out but that’s normal
)
So my goal is to lose more bodyfat (who’s isn’t) but maintain and/or increase my strenght and muscles. I’m doing a good job with that because my pecs, triceps and biceps are getting bigger (not so fast as when you are bulking). The rest is getting bigger too but not so fast.
I hope my bodyfat is down to 5-6% when I go for another check up next month.
Wish me luck!
Greetz to all

PS. I’ll upload a progress pic later…

Last monday was fabulous!
I did a chest and triceps workout and it went GREAT. I could add 5kg on the bench and do 2 more reps than last week. My triceps were also very good. More kilos and more reps. I was very happy and satisfied when I got home…
I only hope I can keep adding more weight, also for the other workouts…
Keep your fingers crossed!

Hi all,
It was arms and back again yesterday. I seem to be increasing my weight more slowly because the workout went good but not as good as I wanted it to go.
Tonight I’m doing legs and shoulders. The shoulders always has been the most difficult part (together with back)of my body to train. It’s like they don’t want to be bigger or stronger even if I almost break them by working out. We’ll see how it goes…

Yet again a fabulous work out. It was back and arms day today with a little cardio and abs.
My arms felt like they were gonna burst when i got through the work out, it just felt great!
As for my back, well it’s always been behind on the other parts but i’m getting there, slowly tho…
I did a new abs work out too. Its a ‘kinesis’ work out. That’s a special work out for people who need kine (say when they had an accident and they need to get back on track). The exsersise I did was fantastic. I really felt my abs crunching like I’ve never felt before. I would do this work out every day if I could. Off course I didn’t see immediate change but when I finished, my abs were still flexing and it felt really good.
So, that’s all folks
See ya next time!

And again some training yesterday (monday). Since last friday my program went trough some changes. I’m now doing 12-10-8 reps per excersise and with each rep the weight goes up. I keep doing the same things though.
Another nice thing: my bodyfat percentage went allready from 12% to 9.1% so my goal is allready achieved. I was fairly surprised you might say. My total progress starting from september 2006 is very good. I went from 19% down to 9.1% with a constant weight off about 75-76kg.
So lets see if I can add some more muscles to that body of mine.
See y’all soon!

And like every monday I went training yesterday.
Did my chest, triceps and abs. I almost killed myself training my chest. I could add yet another 5 kg on the bench so thats now 2 weeks in a row… Beginning to see the difference too.
Today I’m taking the day off (as usual) but tomorrow it’s back to the gym training my back, biceps and abs…
