thats how I feel about todays workout, just meh
my wrist was bothering me from when I was hoarsing around with my lady the other day, so I couldnt lift all that much
squats at 90lbs but for 10 reps 5 sets
mil press at 70lbs 5 reps 5 sets
bent row at 125lbs for 5 reps 3 sets
seated row (much preffered over bent now) 130lbs 5 reps 2 sets
chins 145lb assist, 1 set of 5 (had hammered back enough for today)
dips 145lb assist, 3 sets of 5
I weigh 239lbs today so thats 94lbs for the dips and chins

got to 120 on the BB squats today, felt nice and I did 4 sets of 7, cause, well I didnt feel like doing 3 sets of 5. Did 5 sets of 6 with 140lbs for the deadlift, and 3 sets of 5 with 130lbs on the bench, then one set of 10 at 125lbs.

I made chili for the first time yesterday, while batteling a swarm of yellowjackets who aparently live inside our walls. I figure it might be a good and reasonably healthy food, I used 90% lean sirloin and 93% lean hamburg, and rinsed off the kidney beans nicely, then it was just tomatos, beer, and spices, all simmering down for about 8 hours or so and sitting overnight. shouldnt have much fat I wouldnt think, the beef was real lean and I drained it away as well. and its great used as a digestive flush, ate some at noon yesterday to see how it was coming, and I’m pretty sure there was no food left in my system around 2:30….. we’ll see today if the extra simmering helped calm that down. the heat is perfect though, enough to get your attention but not enough to hurt

well today I stayed at 110 for the squats, though I think this was as much due to wrist and arms pulling the 55’s up to my shoulders and stabalizing them, its definately a lot harder to do than BB squats, a lot more going on. but I did my final set at 10 of them so there is a LITTLE progress.
DB millpress stayed at 70lbs for 2 sets, tried the 3rd set at 80lbs to see if it would go, and though I could push it for all 5 reps, it wasnt pretty the last few, and none were perfect, so I dont count them, next time
my bent row I did progress to 125lbs, though I felt like I might have been pulling a little fast and more upright, so next time I might keep it at this weight, or try it as a warm up before I hit 130lbs.

tried the smith machine today, hurt my knees, didnt like the movement, didnt feel real
db squats I got up to 110lbsfor 1 set of 5 and then 1 set of 10, bench I put up 125lbsx5reps 3 sets, deadlift was 135×5x3*used big plates for the first time in this program. then, since I felt in the xone, I did two sets of dips with a weight assist of 130lbs, and 3 sets of chins at the same assist, sets of 5

I did many warm up sets, increasing weight 10lbs at a time, untill I got to 80lbs again for the squat, and I only got 2 sets before my knees hurt a bit, but not bad.
mil press I got up to 70lbs with good form, bent row was at 120lbs

Im thinking of not doing my squats today, or maybe doing them on the smith machine. my knee is really clunky, as in it pops and grinds, hasent hurt yet but I dont want to aggrevate it. I’m starting to think I might need to revise my workouts to not involve heavy lifting with my legs at all

I completely forgot to post untill now, right before my next workout.
anyways fridays workout was a disapointment, I developed a grinding of my knee during my squats (reoccuring problem with my knees) and couldnt finish, I got through the first working set and halfway through the second, this was after a shorter warmup, I think I may warm up longer today to help not have that problem.
the bench was good at 105, I felt I could have gone to 110, but I didnt want to in order to help build up the supporting muscles, but it definately wasnt as good a workout. deadlifts were at 130 and difficult because I was nursing my knee
food over the weekend was crap, parties, that sort of thing. anyways I am back on track this morning and today with a good balance of cleaner foods and protein shakes.

had to wait till after work to do my lifting yesterday. felt pretty good though, really felt like I had a good workout through it, sweating hard and lifting harder. my breakdown of lifts:
DB squats: 5×2x100, 10×1x100, lifting the 50#s in each hand is getting tough, kinda gotta do a clean to get them up to the shoulders, so maybe I will stick with this weight friday and just do 10×3x100
DB mil. press: 5×3x60, this was really pushing
BB bent row: 5×3x100, I could go higher, next time I shall go to 110 instead of 105

so I got some whey protein to help keep that uptake up without resorting to fatty foods. I didnt find the scoop at first and just mixed to a consistancy, DONT do this, instead of a tasty shake I got a thick and salty nasty snotty mess. yuck. anyways, I hope next time I do it right, though I bet I got half at least of my daily protein intake in that shake.
my loving andrea took my measurements tonight, along with the little girl. I am very disapointed in myself for how bad my numbers look right now, so, I guess its a place to start from, not a place to finish, lets see what this body can do!
