Yesterday was a good day, ate under maintenance and went to the gym for a 45 minute cardio session. I stayed strong all evening afterwards and didn’t give in to the munchies!
Today is good so far. BF is bringing me lunch at work, which will give me a larger caloric load.. but i will just factor dinner around it and be fine. Lower body weights and cardio today.

Did well today, ate healthy and went to the gym. I didn’t eat the caloric amount I wanted, I am only about 200 calories under maintenance.. but i’m ok with that. Did an easy 20 min cardio warm up and then upper body weights, used machines today instead of free weights. Didn’t feel like doing any more cardio so I did sets of push ups and abs and then was done.
I will do cardio only tomorrow, roughly 45 minutes of intervals/hills, and aim for 1800 calories.

So i’m starting anew this week. Last week was stressful, to say the least. My 3 month old puppy nearly died, he was on IV fluids Wednesday-Friday. He is back to normal now though. I ate like crap and didn’t go to the gym because he needed to be monitored, since I was taking him home and regulating him on fluids every night.
I started backed to the gym and eating well today. I will be under 2000 calories by the end of the day. Did heavy lower body and cardio (20 min warm up on the elliptical and 35 min intervals on the bike after the weights). I was sure that I would have gained weight since I hadn’t been to the gym or eating well, but I was down a few pounds.. so I guess that’s alright.

They say that life sometimes gets in the way of things you want to do. That is what happened today. My boyfriend and I have a 3 month old lab puppy. He got into some formaldehyde in the barn yesterday and was OK. Today my boyfriend called me at work (I work at a vet clinic) and said he needed to come in. My puppy has been vomitting foam, his entire mouth and outside of his lips are burned raw. He has been on IV fluids all day, I have to go back to get him at 6 and I am bringing everything home to maintain him at home and take him back in the morning. My poor baby. Needless to say, I think this is a good excuse for (1) not going to the gym as planned tonight.. maybe even tomorrow morning, depending how he does and (2) not eating as planned. I stress eat.
That’s my day.

Diet has been bang on, heading off to the gym shortly then have a set dinner. Dinner put me to about 2000 for the day, now I am done eating.
Workout for today was 20 min warm up cardio, upper body weights, followed by 25 minute steady on recumbent bike.

Day 1 - started out great work out wise, diet was shit. Tomorrow is now the official start day. I am cooking up food right now so I have dinners set for the week. No excuses, I have healthy food made.
Plan for the week:
Mon: 20 minute steady cardio + Lower body weight/abs + 30 min interval training
Tues: 20 min steady cardio + upper body weights + 45 minutes steady state
Wednesday: Kickboxing(?) +/- 45 minutes random interval cardio and abs
Thursday: 20 minute steady cardio + Lower body weight/abs + 30 min interval training
Friday: 20 min steady cardio + upper body weights + 45 minutes steady state
Saturday: 45 minutes steady cardio
Sun/Mon off
Diet - week day goal is 1700/day, weekend goal is no more than 2000.

Off to a great start for the second week of being back at the gym. Didn’t want to get out of bed this morning, but I made myself and i’m feeling great now. Did a hot yoga class at the gym and full body weights. Just relaxing for a bit now and having some coffee. I didn’t stick to my diet at all this past weekend, but that is in the past. I cancelled my fitness consult, I figure i’ll just wait until the end of my ‘month challenge’ and see where I am at then.
Goals for today:
~ hot yoga
~ full body weights
~ push up challenge

My rest day turned into a free day yesterday. I ate well all day but ate a whole bunch of crap last night, nothing to the extreme though. Back to the plan today, heading to the gym straight from work. Going to do a bit of cardio and then weights. Might do some cardio after, as well. My weekend is booking up fast, lol. Girls night in tonight. I have to work tomorrow, but then my weekend is Sunday/Monday which I like. Saturday night i’ve got a date, although at this point I think it’s more of a friendly thing for me. We’ll see. I booked a fitness assessment for Monday. I had one done in July when I first started at the gym, so I would like another. I know i’ve lost 10lbs since July, I can keep measurements at home easily enough but I would really like to know what my bf% is now.
Goals for today:
~ 20 min cardio before weights
~ weights
UPDATE:
I dragged myself to the gym after work, ALMOST had the urge to not go. Ended up doing an easy 20 min of cardio before my weight class. Feelng good. Heading out for a girls night now, I imagine i’ll end up being at maintenance calories for tonight, but i’m OK with that.

I’m very happy that I have managed to make it to the 4th day. I know in the past I have often slipped up midweek. I also know in the past, when I had stomach issues and had a very restrictive diet, that if I don’t have candy/chocolate for a while then I no longer crave it. I think i’m off to a great start. I’m feeling MUCH more awake in the mornings, as well. I still have my coffee to wake up to, but I know that if I didn’t have coffee I would be fine. I used to be in a foggy haze until my coffee and even then I still felt a bit off. I think I can attribute this to the fact that I used to eat a lot of candy and chocolate before bed. Anyways.. i’m feeling great! I thought about doing hot yoga this morning, but I don’t want to jump back into everything too quickly and then either burn out or push myself too far.
Goals for today:
~ push up challenge
**decided to take it a bit easier today. Today will be a ‘rest’ day for me.

Just thought I would post an entry while i’m sitting here getting ready for work. It’s mid-week already and i’ve stuck to everything I planned for the past 2 days. I’ve been eating really well, and am feeling much better because of it. Not as sluggish in the morning as I am after eating a lot of junk the night before.

~ book fitness assessment (since I didn’t go to the gym yesterday, so I didn’t do it! lol)
