I started a new job a few weeks ago so I have been busy with work and have not had time to blog. The new job is great and one of the best things about it is I can wear jeans and a t-shirt here. It makes it a lot less of a problem going for a jog during lunch now that I don’t have to change. But there is one problem there are not trails around here just a bunch of warehouse type buildings, no side walks , not dirt trails, just parking lots and dirt hills. I still jog I just use the buildings that are empty. I jog around them and I jog up and around the dirt hills left for the work putting up the building. I like to just mix it up most of the time I will jog form point A to B and them drop and do 10 push ups or I will run up the stairs to the loading dock and then jump of and run to the next loading dock. Today I started running up the side of the loading dock stairs jumping up and climbing over the railing and jumping down form the other side.. lots of fun, kind of like really beginners free running.  

My shoulder is still giving me problems. It really sucks I feel like I could push out a few more reps and then my left side just gives out. Well I guess I am going to have to deal with it till I get it fixed at least I can still use it just can’t push the weight that much more.

Day 14 February 17 2009 Shoulder is hurt

Me left shoulder has been hurting me for awhile now when I am doing bench press. It doesn’t hurt with light weight but when I lift 185 it hurts. My left side is always giving out before my right and my shoulder hurts a few days after. This has been going on for awhile so I went to the doctors and did not lift for a week. The doctor said after looking at the x rays it looks like a broke a bone in my left shoulder and it did not heal right. He will need a MRI to see more to know what is going on.

I don’t have the cash to pay for the MRI right now so I am saving up for it. It is kind of a bumer to know I can’t really push my chest any more. I am going to see if there are any good chest work out that don’t use shoulders that much.

I did go rock wall climbing this weekend and man was that fun and a great work out my forarms were pumped. I tried 5 different walls and made it to the top of 2. I say that’s doing pretty good for a first time out. I plan on going out there maybe once every 2 weeks.

Funny I am really starting to enjoy running. I always hated it in the past but maybe it was just were I was running. I don’t know about other gyms but 24 hour fitness just is not that interesting to look at after awhile. Ever since I started running on the trial along the river I just want to go out and run more, I think right now I am enjoy it even more then lifting or MMA. I also stated to get books on CD and loading them up on my IPOD. I use to think about how tired I was or how my feet hurt or what ever. But with a good book my mind stay on that and my body just keeps going. Yester day I missed my morning work out but I ran longer then I ever had before. I just really think it is wired how something I use to hate doing with a few changes is something I am really starting to enjoy.

Day 12 January 13 2009

Today was one of those days when I wake up and the first thing that comes to my mind is to go back to sleep and just work our tomorrow. I hate days like this when it just seems like everything takes more effort then it should. I made it to the gym and started my work out and all of the exercises were compound ones and they real started to take a toll on me. When I go to Clean and Press I could hear my self say “come on you had a hard work out you can skip this”. I think every one has that voice the one that tells you to stop or just skip it and it can come up with a 100 reasons why you should. There is another voice that keeps saying “you can do it come on don’t give in”. So I was faced with taking the easy way out and going home or pushing my self to the limit. I added 20 pounds over what I usually do and pumped out 2 hard sets of 6 reps each. I was close to falling over when I was done. You know what that was the best feeling I have had so far this week.

I am starting to feel a lot better; I think I am over the cold. Now to get back to training I have switched up my left days this week to Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

I never talk at the gym I don’t even say hi usually I figure I am here to work out and so is every one else. I work out early in the morning at 5:00am so it is usually the same people there all the time any way. There is this one guy that I would like to talk to this guy shows up every day and does the same stuff all the time and he is ripped and always getting stronger. He ended up saying hi to me one morning and we go to talking.

He works out 3 days a week hard as hell and he just does compound exercises all he changes is the reps same exercises all the time. He has to be one of the strongest guys at the gym. I am going to go ahead and give his work out a try for a week and see how I like it. I was planning on doing it last week but with my cold I figured it be wise not to push my self to hard and risk my cold getting worse or prolonging its stay.

Man being sick sucks, right when I am starting to get in to my training I get a cold. I have been taking vitamin C and Zican to help fight it off but I still feel run down. I skipped my work out for the past 2 days I am going to do a little jogging today at lunch. I am hoping by Friday I can start lifting again.

Day 9 December 30 2008

You know that feeling you get after you have eat way too much and you feel like you could lie down and sleep for a week. Non of that for me this past Xmas. I was active played B ball on Xmas day and did not miss one workout. I did let my diet go some on Xmas eve and Xmas but not to the point I was un buttoning my pants to make room.

I got the new body bugg v3 for Xmas from my girl friend and I like it very much. It is smaller feels way better on my arm and best of all it works with Vista 64. My old one stopped working once I updated to Vista so I was doing all my updating on my work pc and that was kind of a problem since I did not have access to it all the time.

 I have been thinking allot about my goal and how I keep missing it for what ever reason I get hurt, I get depressed, I just don’t feel like doing it. It came to me that I don’t have a WHY for what I am doing. I need a really good WHY to make this all worth it. I use to have it trying to find a great girl and I did. It’s funny but I look in the mirror and don’t like what I see my WHY now is that I want to do this for me to prove I can and to be better then I have ever been. One of the things I dis like the most is cardio. I hate to run on the treadmill at the gym it is just so dull. That’s what makes this so wired for me yesterday at lunch I found a running trail by my work and it goes along a river. It was a great day out side so I grabbed my headphones and iPod and ran. I was not doing it for any other reason just to do it and did I feel great after words. There was something very relaxing about just running and letting go of every thing. Maybe cardio is not so bad if you do it outside the gym.

MMA was brutal last night my arms were all ready worn out form lifting at 5:30 am and I guess since we are not training Wednesday coach figured he cram it all in to one night. We did drills and more drills on the bags things like 20 hooks and then 20 push ups 30 sec rest do it all over again. The very last drill was 20 jabs, 20 push ups, 20 hooks, 10 side to side, 10 upper cuts and the 10 lungs and we all had to be done in 30 sec or we did it again and he add 15 sec. We ended up doing it 4 times and getting up to a min. The first 2 times I did not make the time and that was because I was doing real push ups all the way down all the way up and that takes time, Every one else was doing quick half the way push ups. After I started cheating on my push ups I made time… Still I felt like I did not really earn it because I had to cheat on the push ups.I really like MMA out of everythig sport I have done it is the one I like the most for the simple fact that if you are lose it is no one but your fualt.

This week is going to be hard to stay on the diet. I figure I well eat good till xmas and make that my cheat day and eat good on Sunday. Sunday is uselly my cheat day becuse it is the day I work out the most. I hit the gym and then go play about 6 games of B-Ball at my Uncle’s house.

Got up at 4:30 and got to the gym at 5:30 did my arms work out and it went way better then on Sunday. I don’t know what was up Sunday if my body was just tired from Saterday or something else. I like the days I do my work out’s now. Friday, Saterday, Monday looks like it will be my left days and MMA on Monday and Wensday.

I am down to 229 as of this Sunday. I wish I had hit 228 but at lest I did not go up. It is really hard to eat right around Xmas there is just way to much food and sweets allways around. If i can keep loseing at lest one pund a week till the first of the year I will be happy.
