The power of a word(s)
I have always been amazed at how often we open our mouths with out thinking what effect they have on others.Words can kill just as easily as a knife,gun or fist. They can kill a spirt in the blink of an eye and the person that spoke the words may never know or words may give life to a soul that is almost dead.Everyday we all effect someones life and are not always aware of it.It may be a child,friend,a lover or a total stranger.But what we say and do shows who we are to others and does have an impact on others. Case in point…. I was reading Melindafs blog today and it made me stop and think about things i am dealing with and the frustrations in my life. Now i dont know her except here on bb.com but yet her postive words have made me THINK. Another case is Thenaturalalone response to her blog, again another postive comment making me think and then there is JJanet, her wonderfull writing skills and story telling and the things she seems to get herself into just makes me smile and laugh. I thank you all for your words.
To many times we think we dont make a diffrence in life. You can either be a postive or negitive impact on a life and not even know it. So many times now a days we can hide behind a computer and say what ever we want and think its all fun and games, turn off the computer and its over with. It allows people not to take responsabilty for there words or actions.
I am reminded of a quote "With great power comes great responsabilty."
All to often we dont truly relize the power we ALL have. Have a great day all : )

Never a truer word spoken. Thank you for your reminder to all, we all need to put more positive energy into the world everyday. Our words can affect people we never even realize, good or bad, and a hurtful comment can be retracted by the sayer, but CAN NOT be unheard by the listener, even if they accept your apology. It is like a nail hole in wood, remove the nail and the hole is still there. Thank you and everyone have an awesome day. Cheryl

Awwwwwwww - thanks for the sweet words, Carl. Words really have such a powerful effect on our lives , and I completely agree with everything you wrote. Words can be uplifting… or cut deeper than any knife in seconds. That quote is a powerful one and extremely true!
