triathlon training
Tuesday, July 31st, 2007I decided and started seriously training for a triathlon on Sept. 30 in Mission Bay. It is actually a mini-triathlon, but I feel confident that I can do it. I’m starting off in decent shape and I still have another 2 months to train. I had a really serious workout yesterday so I am taking it easy a little bit today.
I think the race is do-able. 500 meter swim, 15K biking, 5K running.
Morning: Swam 800 yards (730 meters) before work, this was 30 minutes of swimming.
Normal work day, nap after work
Evening: Shoulder workout with ab sets during rests between sets for 45 minutes
- 5 K run (3 miles), this took me about 28 minutes.
So obviously really tired at work today hence me having a lighter workout day. I will workout with my trainer tonight but I wanted to take off the AM workout today.
