A true love for this lifestyle
December 9, 2009The. Joy I experience when I exercise and eat great food is something that I will try and put into words. The training is an incredible feeling knowing you are pushing your muscles againist a resistance to achieve the ultimate contraction in order to build that specific bodypart. The sweat, intense heartbeat, and fatigue let’s u know u are putting in work. But the real key is finding the correct weight that will build the muscle and not work the joints and ligaments. Eating nutritious food is an amazing thing because you can literally see your body sculpting before your very eyes.It also helps u recover faster for your next workout not to mention keeping you healthy.I’m truly blessed to be able to do something that I’m passionate about.I have confidence in myself and I will always push myself to see what I can achieve. I’m inspired by all who take part in this lifestyle to improve there physique and quality of life. Peace and blessings to all.
Reps ,Weight, and Control
November 6, 2009Before i begin an exercise i focus on the muscle that needs to be trained.I lock my body into proper position as though im a machine and once the set begins i make my last rep look like my first .When i can no longer do that the set is done .Maintaining control throughout the full range of motion an utilizing the proper weight to place the stress on the muscles you are training is critical to the development of your body. Don’t sacrifice great control and proper reps just to get the weight up.Make sure u are giving your body the best chance it can to develop to it’s ultimate potential.
An uplifting mesage to those who may need one.
September 9, 2009As i go about my daily life i ask myself what has contributed the most to people becoming unhealthy and unfit. Some of us are so stressed out over the current state of the economy from losing there jobs to the healthcare status.Others have become set in there routine of eating certain foods and there weigth that mentally they don’t even believe they could ever change there circumstance. Many don’t see the benefits to exercise and healty eating that is so much different from what they are doing.Let me tell you first hand that the one thing u have control over is keeping yourself fit and healthy with exercise and eating good food. It strenghtens tendons, bones and ligaments.Lowers blood pressure and conditions the heart. And improves every part of the human anatomy by building lean muscle tissue and burning stored bodyfat. For those who can’t get to a gym use the comfort of your home to do push-ups,crunches,chair dips, walking, running, sprinting, bodyweight lunges and squats along with calve raises. You see once you start engaging in movement of the body u begin a cycle that unleashes amazing physiological, psychological, and metabolic changes in the human body that enable u to overcome anthing that comes your way.Eating good nutritious food enhances your health and body by giving it the vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and fiber that keep you functioning properly in you life.Milk, eggs, fruits and vegetables, beans, complex carbs like oatmeal, sweet potato, brown rice, lean meats like skinless chicken, fish, and turkey are the basics of good food and don’t forget"WATER" WHICH IS THE MOST ABUNDANT NUTRIENT.Hopefully this message inspires someone to believe that they can change there current circumstance despite what the world may look like or say.
Training to become a bar-baron

Motivational thought of the day
August 8, 2009Don’t let people, circumstances or incidents in your life weigh you down.Push through, Rise above and lift the weight up off of you.
Pull-up and Dips
June 30, 2009If i had to chose 2 upper body exercises that produce awesome results it would be these. Pull-ups build an incredible upper and middle back along with rear delts, biceps, middle and lower trapezius .Start the movement from a dead hang with a thumbless grip and hands pronated facing away from you with a slightly wider than shoulder width grip.Keep back arched and pull up through a complete range of motion until the chin is over the bar.Pause for 1 second before coming back down to a complete stretch in the lats.Dips work the entire pectoral region, front delts and all three heads of the tricep muscle. To emphasize the chest lean forward with a wider grip and don’t lock out the elbows on the upward phase. For more emphasis on the triceps stay upright with a narrow grip and lock out elbows at the top of the movement. I often train these 2 compound exercises as a super-set performing the dip first followed by the pull-up rest for 1 minute and knock out another 4 super-sets. Try these 2 exercises if you are looking to build a great upper body.
Taking time off
June 14, 2009Each one of us on Bodyspace enjoy a good workout to come a step closer to achieving our goals. Most workout a minimun of 3 days a week along with other obligations like job, kids, etc.Hitting a plateau is actually a good thing it lets us know that we need to allow our bodies more recovery time before it can begin the rebuilding process.Start incorporating more time off to allow your body and mind a break from the rigors of training your body will thank you.
appreciate the journey
May 16, 2009We all are on a mission to better ourselves by engaging in strength training, cardio, healthy eating, rest and recovery. Each of us have a unique bodytype which enables us to create the ideal physique we wish to attain. Some of us do it to improve at a sport,to compete on stage,or for general health and a fit body. The quest for more mass, lower bodyfat,or increased strength is a slow process but thats the beauty of what we do that invovles sacriface, dedication, determination and consistency. The only way to truly understand your physique is through trial and error "APPRECIATE THE JOURNEY"for there is no short cut to mastery ."REMEMBER THE PURPOSE OF WHAT WE DO IS TO IGNITE A FLAME IN OTHERS AND INSPIRE THEM TO TAKE CONTROL OF THERE BODIES THAT THEY HAVE BEEN BLEESED WITH."
Don’t neglect water or you will pay a big price.
April 10, 2009As we strive to build our bodies we sometimes focus soley on carbs, proteins, and healthy fats. But water is vital for growth and overall health of our bodies.Water is the single most important nutrient for our bodies. It is involved in every function of our bodies. You body loses about 2 quarts of water a day through perspiration, urination, and exhalation.Water is the main lubricant in joint spaces and helps prevent arthritis and back pain. Water prevents clogging of arteries in the heart and brain, and thus helps reduce risk of heart attack and stroke.Water affects our apperance, making our skin smoother and giving it sparkling luster;it also reduces the affect of aging. When your body lacks the water it needs it smartly manages the water you give it keeping the vital organs well watered with nutrients. The five vital organs are Brain,Heart,Lungs,Liver and Kidneys. As a result non-vital organs like skin and joints may suffer.Your body is about 70% water.Your muscles are about 75% water.Your brain cells are about 85% water.Your blood is approximately 82% water. Even your bones are approximately 25% water. As you can see water is a nutrient that cannot be taken for granted make sure you are well hydrated and reap the endless benefits of this amazing substance.
