Back day

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

So i started this monday off right, hitting up my back.  I started with 4 sets of pull ups, which i can now do 10 reps for the first two sets, this is big for me! then i did pulldowns and rows and all the other good stuff.  I’m gonna try to post a new back pic tonight just so i can see how i’m coming along.  It will all depend on how long i am stuck at work.

 I’m starting to see that not many people read others blogs, so i’m gonna try to make an effort to read and post responses to at least 3 blogs a day.  Hopefully that will be a good start.

Huge Cheat lunch today?

So i’m going to a southern style buffet place for lunch, gonna get some fried chicken, catfish, some ribs, some beef brisket, cornbread, greens, mac n cheese and some real sweet tea…..can’t wait. Jealous much?

Got my costume all ready today!

and i still hit the gym hard, but in the A.M. i gotta really push and do more cardio then normal as I am break my 3 months w/o any beer at the halloween party me and my wife are going to.  Anyone try that MGD 64? if i do drink i think i’ll just have 1-2 of them and water the rest of the nite as one night of fun is not worth losing all i’m working for in the gym.

Oh my costume is my ava right now also.

Rap Rap Riggity Rap

So today i did my Bi’s.  I am very happy with my progress i can now do my sets starting at 35lb DB’s ( two weeks ago i was starting with 30’s) and i can knock out the 4th set with 40 lb DB’s.  I am also getting way more reps on my drop sets at the end, i’m guessing the intrabolic is doing something as its the only thing i’ve changed.  I find i don’t tire as quickly even when i’m really pushing it weight wise now.  Its a great feeling, its like i’m finally growing again, i was stuck at the same weights across the board for two plus months before this week. hopefully i’ll see some visual gains in a month or two.  I try to stick to my moto of Inch by Inch is a sinch meaning you can do anything if you take your time and do it right, it make take some time but I’ll get there.

Crazy Happening during my run!

So i was doing a nice run around my neighborhood and I saw a man following an old asian woman and her little asian grand daughter I think it was. He followed them for 4 blocks before making his move, I only saw all of this because they were all infront of me walking down the street at the time I was walking down it. Anyways, the man kept getting closer and closer to them until finally he hit the woman with a crowbar and grabbed the girl. I immediately ran up to him as fast as I could but he ducked off into an ally so I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I can say that this cab was rare, but I thought "nah, forget it, yo holmes to Bel-Air!"

I pulled up to the house around 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cabbie "yo holmes, smell ya later!" I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there, to settle my throne as the prince of Bel-Air!

My supermarket adventure

So I’m at the Supermarket ’cause i needed to get some ground turkey and kidney beans for chili for my dinner….
ANY WAY:

So, I’m at the supermarket and I’m waiting in line to pay for my shit when this (get this) FAT ASS in front of me starts to complain that the item he wants that is on sale ISN’T in stock.

I sit there and contemplate what I should say, assuming I’d be there longer than I’d want to be; Granted, the item was a BOGO Chips Sale. Go figure.

So finally, as he’s in the middle of harassing this excellent Cashier, I open my mouth.

"Hey, fatass, can we shut the hell up and move on? Ok? They’re chips, dumb ****. Buy them another time. What the hell’s your problem?"

"You wanna know?!" he said to me without turning around.

Shit, this guy was bigger than me. So he turns around and stares at me. I swear I almost shat my pants.

So he finally says

"I had reese’s for breakfast!"

"Shit, you had candy for breakfast?!"

"Not candy, Reese’s Puff Cereal!"

So he pours me a bowl and I shove the spoon in my mouth. Then a completely orgasmic wave of peanut butter and chocolately taste bombards my taste buds.

Reese’s Puff Cereal;

It’s reese’s, FOR BREAKFAST!

Back to my Regular workout time

So i’m finally done with the instructor class that i was doing and can once again workout from 6-730am rather then 515-645.  It felt good getting that extra hour of sleep.  Anyways i did Bi’s today and i don’t know if you have done drop sets at the end, but i did that going form 35lbs to 20lb DB’s and i am having issues getting my shaker cup to my mouth now.  It was a great ending to my workout though. I’m still on track to post my Jan 1 "new me" pics, everything is going well, i’m still eating right and working harder then ever.

I think i slept wrong on my arm.

so i woke up this morning and my left shoulder area was sore, and the space between my thumb and pointer finger was sore.  At first i thought my wife got mad at me while sleeping and hit me with a bat, but she swears she did not.. anyways when i got to the gym to do chest i hand major issues controlling the DB’s and putting pressure on my wrist.  I’m gonna take it easy for a few days and hope all gets back to normal, but i just hate when some little thing like that comes out of nowhere and ruins a few days of training.

so i’m still in the instructor class, but i have to miss today and tommorrow so i can do a dinner for my real job.  This means i’ll have some time to blog.  Today i did Bi’s and i really blasted them, i’m on week two of CL’s GlycerGrow and i’m not sure what its doing to me, but i’m noticing my arms feel alot harder post workout then they used to and i’m getting HUGE veins sticking out of my neck on hard curls.  Gotta say i’m liking it.  Anyways i’m also really hitting my ab’s hard and eating right (2weeks now) no soda, no fried anything, no simple carbs at all, not even a real cheat day yet, i think i’ll do that this weekend during the packers game.
