Helping those who don’t want help
I have to say I’m a bit pissed off right now.
I don’t usually hand out advice unless people specifically ask me for it, nor do I walk around acting like I know everything but anyways. I replied to a post someone made on a forum (not BB.com) asking about last meal times (not eating after say 6) carb intake etc. I tried to explain a little about nutrient timing, how food doesn’t automatically become fat after a certain time of day etc. When she responded with something along the lines of "well why don’t you just eat a sufficent amount beforehand and how she thought working out late was counter productive" and continuted to just basically bash everything I’d written I knew I shouldn’t have bothered to open my mouth.
I’m all for trying to help and I’d have been fine to explain a bit more, answer the whys and so on but if you ask a question at least be prepared to possibly not like the answer, not scoff and continue to insist your way of thinking is right else why ask in the first place???

That’s true. Why ask in the first place?
There’s a person at work who does that. They will ask a question in different ways until we give the answer they are looking for.

i used to take things said to me on FORUMS very personnally…used to. I realized that most ignorant ppl on there are hidden and not active on bodysapce and just like to bug ppl and get a rise out of them. Please dont stop offering advice, thats what this great community is all about. Just brush off the occasional idiot that comes your way.

Harkers: I hope some of it go through, if not to her than at least to others who read the thread.
Bradl: She asked for thoughs and opinions so should have expected not everyone was going to agree but I think you hit the nail on the head, negative reaction because they didn’t get the answer they wanted to hear
Sparkle: True true, I don’t usually get too involved in discussions online but I was feeling brave that day hehe.

You are sooo right. In the end it is the overall habit that is important. Eating healthy whenever you can is more important than eating at specific times of the day. And working out wherever you can is a hell of lot better than nothing at all! After spending a year in the desert, eating at all hours of the day and working out whenever a spare moment presented itself, even if it is 2 a.m., I have continued to improve and be as fit as ever.
