Civilian Life in Iraq
As a few of you know I have pretty much been a resident of Iraq for the past 42 months, why? who knows, I feel that if I were to go back to normal life in the United States I would be bored off my ass. The rush that I experience out here is that the same of going to the gym. It is a desire, I am addicted to the adrenaline. Life isn’t nearly as rough out here as it was in 2004, but, we still get the incoming rounds and as I make 5 or 6 daily drives along perimeter road, it is always in my mind, if one is going to come in today. Every night prior to falling asleep I wonder if I am going to see tomorrow.
I appreciate every soldier, from all over the world, who is out here, some are at greater risk than others, some have it pretty nice, but we are all of the same team. Can we survive without each other, maybe, but we all know how difficult it would be.
I love my country, I love my freedom and will do whatever it takes to keep it.
