Don’t know about articles but this is pretty close. Do 6-7 meals/day. 5oz protein with each: chicken , egg whites, lowfat cottage cheese, extra lean gorund turkey, fish, beef, etc. Carbs with meals 1-4: 1/2 cup oatmeal, 3/4 cup brown rice, 4-5 oz yam or potato, 3-4 WASA crackers, etc, 1-2 cups veggies. the break down is pretty close to the 40-40-20 (actually the fat content is musch lower). Hope this helps.

Where are you getting 1200 cals from? That is an extremely low starting point. If you are 183 with 32% Bf that puts you at around 125lbs lean body mass. A good starting point for fat loss would be around 12-15 calories per pound of LBM. even at only 12 calories per pound of LBM puts you at 1500 cals a day. I would start out at 15cals which puts you at around 1800 cals a day. If you are training hard thats not that much. Evaluate thngs weekly and if you are not losing 1-2 pounds a week then you can start dropping cals or upping your activity. If you already have Thyroid issues, very low calories are not the solution. I saw great success with The Zone Diet which is a 40/30/30 ratio and it is a very easy diet to figure out and follow. However if you do decide to go low carb/low calorie make sure you take at least one day a week to up your cals and carbs a good bit. Also you can check out www.fitday.com, you can plug in your foods choices and adjust to the proper ratios. It breaks down everything for you and takes alot of guess work out of things. Good Luck.
