I’m back on the bandwagon again, and quickly approaching the sub-180 pound mark!
To give you an idea, the last time I weighed in the 170’s:
-We had a budget surplus.
-Clinton Was in Office.
- I was freaking TWELVE.
So I’m psyched. More cardio, keep an eye on my drinking… the drinking part wouldn’t be hard if I didn’t turn 21 next sunday… but being a SUNDAY it should actually prove easy to do lol.
Keep up the work everybody. Don’t lose sight of those goals, and have a safe and healthy Thanksgiving!

Work it harder, make it better
Do it faster, makes us stronger
More than ever, Hours after
Our work is never over .
Daft Punk is part of my work out music, can you tell? : P
Anyways, I’ve got jobs, yes, as in two, and a potential internship, so I’m loads more busy than when I started my routine, hate to say I’ve been limited to a few trips to the gym a week. The rest is cardio in the mornings (just started HIIT this morning, it was fabulous) followed by bodyweight exercises and some tricks on the ball, maybe a little time with the heavy bag if my wrists agree. I’m mixing it up, but only have about four weeks (!!!!) until ComicCon, where I will try to pass myself off as Superboy (Kon-El Jeans & T-shirt style, nothing fancy)
MAS CARDIO POR FAVOR! Love handles persist, but there is a monster set of abs waiting to be UNEARTHED from the high body-fat percentage! Wish me luck!

I got my membership! Yesterday I did a bit of an impromptu mini-triathlon with Bryan, and it was pretty crazy. The running was my worst part, since I cramped up in places I didn’t know I even could, but I loved swimming! I forgot how much I missed it, I can definitely see the money I put into my membership being worth it just so I can swim… Lifting today, working mostly on arms, and probably abs. I’m psyched.

Well my school year is over folks! I survived, but my body and self-image have taken a beating. I got home two days ago and immediately began revving up to fix my situation! I’ve taken up running and hitting the heavy bag in the mornings, as well as eating 6 small meals a day, keeping my protein intake up, and drinking more water. The diet soda is out of the picture, save maybe one can a week to sate my lust for aspartame (mmm… cancer) and I’ve sworn off any form of fast food thanks to some articles I’ve been finding (the chipotle one scared the living hell out of me, I had no idea! 1400 calories?? 46 grams of fat!? SAY IT AIN’T SO!)
I also have a gym membership and workout partner lined up! (maybe even a receptionist job at the community center the gym runs out of) its a pretty classy place, and I enjoy listening to the old Jewish guys discuss the war and stuff all the time. Good stuff.
Anyways, I’m back in action, starting two months earlier than last year, and really excited!
Now to get a new capacitor for the logic board on that treadmill…

So, my first semester of college has ended. If your perception of art students does not include a full understanding of our workload, let me put it in perspective:
I SHOULD HAVE GONE TO LAW SCHOOL.
Lol, I’ve never done so much busy work in my life! I pulled at least 2 to 3 all nighters a week, my sleep schedule was fubar’d, and I spent so much on art supplies that I resorted to a diet mainly of lentils and rice. Basically they are trying to thin the ranks of the freshman by overloading and crushing them to the point of dropping out. Ain’t it grand? I’d never been so stressed in my life. I avoided the freshman 15 fairly well, but the amount of muscle mass I lost is STAGGERING. Definition, gone. Biceps and Chest, a shadow of their former selves. Don’t get me started on the abs (how I miss them so!).
So my warpath has begun. I’ve taken up my morning runs and ab work, and now I’ve been inspired to pick up a membership to the Jewish Community Campus workout room, to go with a friend Bryan. He’s an ex-hockey player, and his name dumptruck is well deserved. The guy is a BEAST. He’s not a bodybuilder per se, by choice he works more for definition and tone. But seeing as that is what I’m aiming for as well, this could work out great. The guy has a future in Personal training I tell ya, I met up with him this afternoon at the JCC and I was 20 minutes late (oops), first thing the guy does is throws an exercise ball at me at tells me to do 50 pushups. His pace was staggering, and he kept me going with him for 2 hours. it was INTENSE. I learned so many ab workouts that I don’t think it’s in my best interest to laugh. But my bench, hell. my everything is depressing. I’m so soft now… **** it, not for long. I’m going back on Friday after work, too.
I’m going to triumphantly post a picture next month of my progress, and mark my words it will look better than the one I had in August.
It’s been awhile people, but it’s great to be back.
Happy Holidays,
Tyler

So tomorrow I’m moving into the dorms at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design! I’m REALLY psyched, and I know all my roommates well so its not going to be awkward in the least. I am however, mortified that all the progress I’ve made in the last month will immediately deteriorate with the infamous "Freshman 15", so I’m going to take action as best I can. I’ve got one of my roommates Johnny to come running with me. He’s a great guy and into lifting as well, so if we can get running everyday and use the patehtic little corner of lifting equipment hidden in with the studio space (I’m being a bit harsh, its quite a nice corner actually) we should fine. Wish me luck!

I borrowed an 80lb bag from my friend and set it up in my basement a few weeks ago, but didn’t use it much. Then yesterday I got some news about what my ex may have done with some shitface before we broke up and just exploded on the thing. I really don’t have any form to speak of, I just know enough to not break my wrists… but anyway I went at the thing for a better part of an hour without wraps, so you can imagine what my hands look like today. But I feel better… I look better…
I’m going to ****ing kill that prick. Lol…

I’ve been spastically working in my routine along with a 48 hour work week (ah overtime) and I’ve seen some improvements definitely, pics later.
The big thing today is the bridge in my hometown collapsing, a girl I know was hurt, everybody is going crazy over how the hell it happened… I take that bridge a few times a week so it scares the shit out of me to think of the what ifs… 4 people are dead so far, and thats just of the ones they’ve recovered.
I hope everyone is ok.

Man, I fell into a rut last night. I went and got sloshed with all my friends, which can’t be good for my training… I don’t want to defend myself in this situation, but I can’t say it wasn’t a good time with the gang… except for someone stealing Jon’s Ipod, that was lame.
Anyway I’ll have to come up with a mantra or some way of avoiding these types of situations where I will likely cheat on my weight loss plan. I can’t afford to lose days of working out, and with the way I feel this morning I did just that, ugh. >_<

Running this morning was a lot harder than yesterday, I was still sore and REALLY tired. I barely choked through 2 miles, and it was kind of pathetic. But whatever, today was supposed to be a ‘rest’ day, you know allow muscles to recruit cells and all that jazz… but I still want my cardio! Weighed in at 193, I bet money its all water weight lol. Mirror Mirror on the wall, the scale is a lying bastard.
