Have you had a chance to try our new pre-workout supplement MUSCLEPRIME? If so, we would love to hear your feedback. One question we are often asked is ‘why is MUSCLEPRIME Creatine-Free?’
Our Director of Marketing answered this question on bodybuilding.com but I felt this is an excellent answer that might clear up the confusion many have about MUSCLEPRIME.
Why Does MUSCLEPRIME Not Contain Creatine - Answered by Jason Bell:
MUSCLEPRIME is creatine-free on purpose. Looking at the best research out there, something seems to have been lost in the translation to supplements today.
A) There are a lot of people out there who either don’t want creatine at all, or don’t want creatine all the time, as good as creatine is, your body does get used to it and the best results come from cycling. Give yourself 2 weeks off every once and a while to allow creatine transport mechanisms and natural creatine production within the body to return to normal.
B) There is a misconception that pre-workout supplements have creatine in order to help that workout. It won’t. The way in which creatine works, it needs to build up in the body as phosphocreatine stores within the body that allow your muscles to produce more energy for a greater duration. But this takes at least a few days - so, it will help you - just not in that specific workout.
C) The best time for muscular absorption is post-workout, and always has been - your muscles are screaming for glycogen replenishment and consuming the notoriously difficult to absorb creatine molecule at that time while insulin levels are elevated gives you the ideal window to affect the greatest increases in muscular absorption of creatine.
I like KRUSH4 for this purpose - or straight, regular Creatine Monohydrate with a post workout shake, and or grape juice. This allows you to control when you get your creatine loading underway, it allows you to time it and see the results you are going to get within a specific time frame.
MUSCLEPRIME allows you to take it for an intense workout - everything in it is geared towards:
1) Getting your head in the zone - FOCUS (specifically, ramps up your neural levels of acetyl-choline-esterase (ACE) in order to create powerful focus).
2) Loads you up with all Essential Aminos to create the ideal Anabolic Response following training.
3) Provides key nutrients such as BETA-ALANINE in doses that will truly affect that workout - 2 scoops (which is standard) provides 2,000 mg, and you know it has been fully absorbed because you can feel the tingling.
4) Increases vasodilation with 4,000 mg of Arginine, and other key nutrients like Ginkgo and North American Ginseng.
5) Provides antioxidant protection against the free-radical stress of intense training.
To me, pre-workout supps should prime you for a killer workout, great intensity and endurance through tough workouts will force your body to respond anabolically - smart post workout supps and nutrition will allow you to further take advantage of that phenomenon. When I’m on a creatine loading cycle, I like to take a scoop of a scoop of Krush4 and consume it immediately as I finish my workout - I find I get the best results that way.
============================================ ===========
A lot of the confusion is likely stemmed from the ingredient Creatinol-O-Phosphate which is found in MUSCLEPRIME. Please note that the ingredient Creatinol-O-Phosphate (COP) is a phenomenal ingredient, and it is in MUSCLEPRIME, but it IS NOT creatine. While COP sounds like Creatine, Creatinol-O-Phosphate is not to be confused with Creatine as the two ingredients have very different functions in the body.

A friend asked me interesting question, if MUSCLEPRIME was ideal for high intensity endurance sports such as hockey, football or basketball. As it happens we have several competitive hockey players on MP who swear by it - why?
- a) First blend increases acetylcholine-esterase in the brain, this increases focus, allowing you to get your head in the zone
- b) The caffeine gives you a strong stimulant lift (of course caffeine has a list of reseach as long as my arm for performance enhancement)
- c) The large amount of Betaine helps with the body’s ability to deal with heat and heighten performance as a result (There is some good and recent supporting reseach for this)
- d) The large amount of Beta-Alanine reduces the rate at which muscles become acidic, allowing muscles to drive harder for a greater duration
- e) The electrolytic complex provides essential minerals and electrolytes lost through sweat - I could go on, but you get the point - very, very good for endurance athletes, especially like hockey where there are ongoing bursts of activity required.
Best of all, with all 8 essentially amino acids, the athletes muscles will respond more anabolically, better preparing them for future activities.

I had the chance to speak directly with a lot of customers in Vegas at the last Olympia trade show, and hearing specific questions a few times in a row, I thought I’d share some of the answers here.
The main question was “why is LEUTOR better than BCAA powders (or pills)”. There are a lot of answers for this question, but I’ll stick to a few. There are three BCAAs, L-Leucine, L-Valine and L-IsoLeucine. One of them is pretty inexpensive and the other two are not. As a result, in order to try to beat the competition on price, they compromise on the ratio. Jacking up the amount of L-Valine and using very, very little in L-Leucine and L-IsoLeucine – the two most active and anabolic aminos, is unfortunately too common.
LEUTOR however, has a specific ratio consistent with the cellular anabolic signaling research conducted at the Karolinska institute in Sweden. The ratio in LEUTOR is a precise 45% Leucine, 30% IsoLeucine and 25% Valine. This ratio is critical to the effectiveness of the formula and is frequently ignored by other companies who don’t realize the importance, or do realize it and are sacrificing the quality based on cost. Adhering to the specific ratio in the research is one of the reasons you get the results you do with LEUTOR. You’re simultaneously sending the cellular signal to increase the rate of protein synthesis while decreasing the normal rate of muscle breakdown.
Another reason is the ease of use of LEUTOR, if you’ve ever tried to mix BCAA powder, you’ll see that it does not want to mix at all (and if it does, you probably don’t have much Leucine or IsoLeucine in your powder), if you wait long enough for it to mix, it really tastes quite horrid and tends to be the reason that people stop taking it regardless of the benefits.
The compression technology we’ve implemented for LEUTOR is pretty amazing from an engineering standpoint, while the details would bore most people to tears, suffice to say that working with the 3 BCAAs is very, very difficult. ALLMAX has found a way to effectively compress over 8,000 mg of BCAAs into only 7 Caplets in a way that still allows them to begin to disintegrate immediately and reach complete disintegration within 22 minutes. This ensures that you get a smooth sustained and complete release within your workout. The smooth and pleasant tasting sweet coat on the tablet makes it very easy to take.
The addition of KIC, or KetoIsocaproic Acid is a phenomenal complementary addition that gets overlooked by some. KIC has a unique ability to quench muscle toxins by binding with them. This creates a buffering effect that helps to extinguish the burning sensation felt during intense sets. This lets you train harder and longer than you normally could. The most unique aspect of this KIC binding with muscle toxins is that the result of the reaction is more Leucine. The real benefit here is that pushing yourself to a higher level of intensity jacks up your stimulation of your muscle fibers. This intense neuromuscular stimulation kicks the body into high gear forcing you to grow. This key addition sets it well apart from regular BCAA formulas.
The other question was, “all those BCAAs are in my protein, so why should I take it at all”. The simple answer is uptake competition. Every amino acid has a different regulatory function on the body’s processes. Many of them compete with each other for uptake and assimilation, even with respect to function they will often oppose and limit each other. An easy example that everyone can relate to is with Tryptophan, which on its own can put you to sleep, but within a complete balanced protein like Whey Protein Isolate, this effect is not felt. BCAAs in high doses (8,120 mg at a Lean Body Weight of 175 lbs. – or 7 caplets) at the correct ratio create a specific pro-anabolic and anti-catabolic effect that has been proven in research to increase the rate at which protein synthesis takes place.
There are more reasons why LEUTOR is really the ultimate muscle building pill, but these questions specifically were pretty common at the show, so I thought I’d share a few of them.

You would think that the answer would be "slap on more plates and bench ’til ya puke!". At least that’s what most people who start lifting think, including Natural Pro Bodybuilder Andre Rzazewski. In his most recent article, Andre recounts how the "Cult of the Clanging Plates" mesmerized him as a young aspiring bodybuilder to essentially "go big, or go home". In doing so, he found that his maximum bench press went up, but he suffered injuries, less pectoral development and imbalances in his physique.
He has changed all that and made amazing strides forward in chest thickness, depth and symmetry; all critical aspects to being a champion bodybuilder. Read on as Andre describes the details of how you can build a Championship Chest!

I posted this as a response to a query online regarding TestoFX. We’ve been getting a lot of feedback on this product now that it is out on the market. Everyone feels it right away, and the anecdotal evidence is pretty strong - people have been finding that they have more intensity with their workouts, the duration is greater, the "feel" more full after and for those who have been taking it for a while - results have been great.
It makes sense - when you go through the formula and look at it in detail, you realize how well it should work. We spent a lot of additional time in development making sure that each ingredient had the highest potency we could find. Judging by how well it worked in the testing phases, I’m not very surprised by the results people are reporting.
I’ve been stacking it with ZMA as well - 3 capsules at night. I’ve always used ZMA, I think it’s a great supplement. I’ve also become a very big fan of Glutamine - recovery has been amazing, immune system has remained strong, very little soreness after some killer workout sessions. Last time I weighed myself I was 211 lbs. (that was 2 weeks ago) - that’s easily the heaviest I’ve been without looking like the Stay-Puffed Marshmallow Man - circa 2001 LOL. I think I got up to 215 then, but it wasn’t pretty.
At this weight, being as lean as I am, I would have to say that I am the biggest I have ever been. My strength is the best ever - previous best lift with incline press was 90 lbs for 4 unassisted, most recently I’ve been putting up 110 lb for 8 assisted for 2 more.
Of course I swear by LEUTOR and I get my ass in the gym 4 to 5 times a week - consistently (well, consistently for the last 5 or 6 weeks anyway But I’ve been finding the same kinds of results as users have been reporting - great intensity, feeling strong through to the end of really intense training sessions, very strong, visually speaking - muscle thickness and shoulder width have come up dramatically.
I am going to start incorporating morning cardio through February to bring in more detail. It will be very interesting to see the results of that. I’m going to start posting more some pics to track progress.
Here is the post:
Aside from having the highest quality ingredients that have a total of 3 independent patents - Sensoril and Testofen, no other supplement has had the kind of Cortisol control that we have, and I think we are all aware of the dramatic and negative impact excess Cortisol has on Testosterone levels. Cortisol goes up, Testosterone goes down.
Sensoril has been proven in a human clinical research to drop serum Cortisol levels by 26% over an 8 week period, and increase endogenous DHEA levels by 24% over the same time period. There are many formulas that use proprietary blends and do not disclose how much you are getting - we have chosen to use a transparent label protocol so you know exactly what you are getting and exactly what it does.
Clearly this puts us at a disadvantage from a competitive point of view as other companies will have an easier time copying our formula - but we feel that it is more important that you as the consumer know exactly what you are getting in your formula.
We have included Sensoril at the full research directed amount of 125 mg in every serving.
Sticking to the same line of human clinical research, patented and branded ingredients, we included TESTOFEN at the full 300 mg per serving dosage as indicated by the research study. This study showed a 98.81% (17.71 pg/ml before treatment and 35.29 pg/ml post-treatment) increase in biologically active free Testosterone over and 8 week period and a 9.40% reduction in blood urea nitrogen - this is the key indicator of a drop in protein catabolism (translation: the participants hung on to more of their muscle.)
In addition to further compliment the power of TESTOFEN, we included 100 mg per day (2 servings) of Malaysian source, Eurycoma Longfolia (Tongkat Ali) at a potency ratio of 100:1 and standardized to 15% Polysacchrides and 25% Glyco Saponins - very few, if any supplements will provide that kind of detail due to the fact that standardizations of this quality tend to be expensive, whereas regular Eurycoma Longfolia from who knows where with no specified standardization is quite inexpensive.
The research on Eurycoma Longfolia has been shown to reduce in blood level SHBG (Sex Hormone Binding Globulin). SHBG binds to biologically active, free Testosterone and deactivates it - rendering it incapable of binding to a viable Testosterone receptor, and thereby eliminating the ability for Testosterone to elicit its effects. Long story short - bound Testosterone can’t do it’s job.
We’ve gone to great lengths to get the highest potency ingredients specific to the five stages of the optimization of the function of Testosterone within the body.
We’ve taken some flack on the board for including Tribulus, which I completely understand - a number of research studies have shown that it does not boost Testosterone in healthy males. In fact we had considered leaving it out altogether. But from a Leutenizing Hormone (LH) support standpoint it made sense to include it at as high a potency as we could find (80% Saponins) at a relatively low inclusion rate 120 mg/serving. The hormonal negative feedback loop is one that you must make sure you address when it comes to the optimization of Testosterone. Ensuring that LH is functioning at optimal capacity is critical to ensuring optimal endogenous production of Testosterone; our primary goal.
There’s a lot more to the product than this, but I don’t want the post to be too lengthy - it already is!

The long awaited TestoFX Hardcore website is now live; featuring a dual Flash/HTML interface, an optimized testosterone diet and workout, and a ton of detailed product information.
5-Stage Testosterone Optimizer

ALLMAX Nutrition Releases the World’s First 5-Stage
Male Testosterone Optimizer: TESTOFX Hardcore
Toronto, Ontario - ALLMAX Nutrition announces the release their Testosterone Optimizer called TestoFX Hardcore. This powerful testosterone optimizer represents the most significant development in testosterone boosters on the market!
According to Jason Bell, Director of Marketing at ALLMAX Nutrition, “There was a real gap in the market when it came to testosterone boosters,” explained Mr. Bell. “TestoFX Hardcore is unique in the marketplace; it uses a 5-Stage approach to optimize the natural production of testosterone and set up a pro-testosterone environment to maximize effectiveness. It also controls the key factors that normally block and reduce the maximum expression and effectiveness of testosterone in the body.”
In our fast paced society, stress is an inevitable part of our lives. Increases in stress can lead to increases in cortisol levels that when in excess, can compromise active free testosterone in the body. To counteract this, TestoFX Hardcore contains a proprietary complex called CORTISTRATE II which has been found to be effective in reducing serum cortisol levels by an average of 26% over an 8-week cycle. This promotes a positive testosterone environment for increased muscle growth and strength.
“What really sets TestoFX’s formula apart from any other formulation on the market” explains Research Manager of New Product Development, Michael Sedlak, “is TestoFX’s ability to increase biologically active free testosterone levels while reducing known natural barriers to testosterone.”
Mr. Sedlak went on to elaborate that the human clinical trials conducted on the key ingredients in the TestoFX formula resulted in a 98.81% increase in free, unbound, biologically active testosterone. He further pointed out that this percentage is important to note as it is not just the percentage for a couple of extreme cases but the average increase of testosterone for participants in the research study! According to Mr. Sedlak, TestoFX includes the exact amount of the active ingredient in the research study shown to effectively increase free testosterone levels.
This 5-Stage approach to Testosterone optimization in TestoFX’s revolutionary formula consists of the following important steps: 1 – cortisol levels are reduced by 26%; 2 – active, free, unbound testosterone levels are increased; 3 – testosterone receptor affinity is increased; 4 – reduction of estrogen by blocking and reducing conversion; and 5 – reduction in conversion from testosterone to DHT (dihydroxytestosterone).
Team ALLMAX athlete, person trainer and Natural Pro Bodybuilder Andre Rzazewski can attest to TestoFX’s remarkable formula. A self-proclaimed supplement skeptic, Andre admitted to being initially apprehensive about using any new supplement but was truly impressed with the results. When asked to provide his thoughts on TestoFX, Andre said: “TestoFX™ delivered in a big way! My workouts have been far more intense and I’ve felt extremely strong – even through the end of some monstrous sets. I’ve started to see some serious improvement in muscle thickness, density and striations.”
Testosterone is responsible for every aspect of being male. Active, free testosterone is critically important for the effects you see and feel. TestoFX™ Hardcore has provided patented and scientifically studied ingredients that work together, hand-in-glove to elevate the levels of active, free testosterone that creates the powerful effects you can feel immediately, from the very first dose.
