Okay who in their Right Mind bakes Chocolate Cookies 4 weeks from Competition? The gooey sensation, temptation of dough on your hands for you to lick, the chocolate morsels and the smell ~~~ Oh the smell of baking cookies. And you may ask, what’s for dinner? The same dinner that I’ve had for the past 8 weeks, chicken and fish – fish and chicken- broccoli and more broccoli, this week I switched to asparagus because it helps with water depletion. I must really really love my kids.

Now that the weather is breaking, I’ve decided to really step up my cardio game by taking it to the streets, fighting traffic, red lights and the slow meaningless walkers in my way.
After being inside for the winter and really thinking you’re the Sh!#t on the treadmill and you casually do an easy 3 mile run, those same 3 miles DO NOT EQUATE to the Concrete miles. After the first 3 minutes I thought I was being followed. Yes, by all the JUNK in my TRUNK as my foot landed and thrust forward to the next step. After 20 minutes, I did not care what song was playing on my ZUNE as long as it drowned out my pounding heartbeat that was ringing in my ears. Needless to say, after 30 minutes, I did not care what my runner’s stride looked like I was happy to finish and it felt like I had run a marathon.

I welcome the challenge, it’s me against the machines~ bring the lactic pain because I have the endurance and the will power to succeed. It’s all about me. And when I WIN and you accept the defeat, we do battle again the next day. 6 days a week!
