Stuff happens.

Monday, April 20th, 2009

Well all, It happened. One day while in the gym i was hanging a 25 Lb plate back on the rack. Just as the weight was about to hit the rack i heard and felt a crunch between my shoulder blades. It didnt hurt at first. But as the day progressed it worsened. What bagan as a dull ache slowly turned into a piercing throb. So after three days of sucking it up and not wanting to face the truth i went to the Doctor. Turns out I flattened a disk in my spine between my shoulder blades. Then the Doc went on and told me i have degenerative disk deseise. So if you have wondered where i have been. Now you know. About a week ago i said screw it, i cant live like a paralytic before im paralized. In the 2 or so months that i have been out of action i gained back about 13 lbs. fortunatly i havnt lost the drive to keep lifting. Now im just far more carefull in what I do and how i do it. You will all be glad to know im back on the road to reach my goal before this coming Christmas. One thing i have noticed though. The log break gave my muscles time to fully heal from the hard heavy lifting i was doing before. Im actually up to doing sets with 270 lbs on an incline press hammer strength machine. No more bar and bench presses for safety sake. God i hate machines. But I would rather lift safe than be paralized. Besides. 3 sets at 270 lbs doing 2 sets of 8 and a set of six aint bad for being gone for 2 months. Working the back is a weee bit trickier. But im doing it.

Now, if i could get some help putting together a good buiild muscle/Burn fat diet i would be greatly appreciative. I know a lot of people on here do this stuff for money, but please bear in mind im poor and on a tight budget. And I DONT mind eating the exact same thing every day. BEing poor you learn to live with it. :)

Regardless, Im BACK!!!!
