3rd week July

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Plugging along,  not doing as much as I think I should, but still doing something every night.  Body is doing OK.  Doing pullups and pushups almost every night.  Would like to see a thicker upper body, to give me a better V- shape.  Arms are doing better -with the pushups- triceps are getting much better.  Not sure about what kind of balance is best between biceps and triceps - need to do some research.  Eating more  not better but more.  Till next blog,  Bye.

Shoulder Update

Shoulder is doing much better,  every once in a while it will act up and tell me whose in charge, but so far so good.  Did bench presses and survived.  I can only do light weights with anything overhead- and I haven’t pushed to see my limits.  Actually did ab work last night and I’m tryng to figure out why I haven’t been doing ab stuff anyway? Staying the course and trying to do something every night, while rotating bodyparts.  Till next blog, Bye.  Next goal is to incorporate jump rope as a cardio into the mix.  Hummm.

Clawing thru July

Worked out last night.  Did my chinups and bench presses wide grip and narrow.  Tonight is back and biceps. Down to 178 which is the lightest I have been in a really long time.  Have already started to eat better-  better being more and head back to 200 for the fall and winter.  Haven’t been doing cardio since I wasn’t eating great anyway, so the mid section looks good, short of great but good for me.  My son gave me a replica bear claw necklace from his boy scout camp.  I put that on and thats my "strong as a bear" motivation.  I wish it was a  polar bear claw so I could pretend I was working out on an iceberg.  Till next blog,  Bye. 

July 2nd week

Wow, what a July.  Everything has piled up and unloaded in July.  Haven’t managed to be home long enough to work out decent.  Did my first good workout last night.  Home gym in garage/furnace is hard, hard.  Heat is rough,  will have to breakout the large fan if I want to live.  Till next blog,  Bye.
