Maybe Swimming is OK

I’m thinking I was lacking a full body workout- so maybe swimming is not so bad after all.  Should find a way to increase lung capacity-  I need check this out.  Till next blog,  Bye.

Swimming

Argh,  If I was  suppossed to swim, I should have been born a fish.  Having a bad time with my swim test.  3 x 25 yards and 1 x 25 backstroke.   Managed a breast stoke for the first 3 and managed to almost drown on the backstoke.  Breathing was a wrong,  basically I was out of breath.   Must practice more,  lots more.  Till next blog,  Bye.

Workout

Didn’t do much, but I did do 200 pushups.  Effort level 8.625448 out of 10.000000.  Not bad. Still a little sore from neck adjustment, so I wanted to take It easy.  Till next blog,  Bye.

neck issues

Well I decided I needed to get over to the chiro and have some adjustments done for my neck.  I have been really tight through my shoulders and in my neck.  I made some adjustments at my desk so I wasn’t looking down at my computer screen at the suggestion of the doc.  I can’t tell yet,  but maybe I can ease my discomfort level after a day at work.  I’ll keep my fingers crossed.   I also gave up the recliner while waching TV, now I’m rocking away in a good ole rocking chair.  From what the good doc says,  I’m out of line with my ears,  the should be in line with my shoulders.  Aside from this I also worked out tonight.  Concentrated on dumbell standing military presses.  Started with 25 lbs and moved to 35s.  3 sets of 10.  I also worked on getting an intensity level of 10.  Right side was good to go-  left side needed some help lowering the weight- I was getting a level of pain I try to stay away from.  I’ll do these for two weeks.  Staying away from bicep working exclusively- because they are easy and was getting into a rut.  My focus now is a full body workout.   I wanted to run tonight, but decided I should give my back and neck a break. Swim Test

Having to do a BSA swim test,  and Sunday I practiced for the first time in at least 20 years.  I managed to complete 2 laps with a breast stroke and was out of breathe.  I should be OK by the time I have to actually pass.  I was concerned my shoulders would make my life miserable-  but it wasn’t to bad.  Will work on cardio - running to get my conditioning better.  I had my choice from a breast stoke, trudgen or a crawl.  I had to look up the last two,  just to see what they were.  I got on youtube and confused my self even more - because there are a lot of variations with each style.  I would do the trudgen AKA freestlye but would drown trying to get my breathing right.  I was suprised how tired I was after only 2- 25 yrd laps.  Will swim again today and work on my breathing.  TIll next blog,  Bye.

Overall

Overall,  everything needs more work.  As of late,  haven’t been eating enough to grow a fingernail.  Since I’m semi cutting (for no apparent reason) my workouts have been a matter of toning.  Looking at the big picture-  I need to do more overhead lifts-  the shoulders are keeping me from going full throttle thou, but I’m managing.  Midsection is ok,  arms are ok but still don’t have that "look".  I am working on my chest specifically upper- which is my weakest muscle group.  Home gym has  a few limitations, but I should be fine.  The nicest part is I have a fan parked right in front of my bench.  The other nice part is when I’m resting between sets I clean my garage.  Till next blog,  Bye.

Soreness is bad- leg workout must have made something mad.  A very good sign- but a royal pain when working.  Did arms and overhead presses last night w/o pain.  Will run tonight- its the only way to go outside without being carried off by sceeters (blood sucking heat seekers).   Till next blog,  Bye.

Leg Day

Getting to the point where I’m finding my way.  Leg day was short but good.  Legs felt shaky afterward.  Picked up 4  - 25 lb plates for $20.00 at a garage sale.  For legs I’m going for the med weight and high reps.   Till next blog,  Bye.

Diet

Lately have no energy- I think my diet is wrecking my energy level.  Abs are doing great thou,  I’m actually feeling the start of a line down the middle of the abs.  Never done that before.   Till next blog  "Yawn"  bye.
