End of 2008

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

Picked up some nice plates and dumb bells - 120lbs total for my home gym for $20.00.  Pretty good deal.  Now I just need a chinup bar hanging somewhere and I should be good for the the next six months.  Ending the year on a good note.  Till next blog,  Bye.

Slower than Slow

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

Warmed up as usual and was feeling good. Then tried 20 lb DB overhead seated press and got a real good dose of shoulder punishment.  I guess I wasn’t ready for trying this.  Depressing doesn’t even fit the feeling.  :(      Till next blog,  Bye.

Christmas holidays

Monday, December 29th, 2008

Doing really good - eating everything and I’m still at 195-199.  Shoulder not to bad.  Working on getting presses back into the workout picture,  and overhead stuff.  Rest of 2008 will be the usual.  Worked out arms last night and finished off with biking for 20 minutes.  Tonight will be chest,  and the stair stepper for the wheels.  Till next blog,  bye.

Abs destruction

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

Hadn’t done abs in a few weeks, so I decided that my Saturday workout woud be an ab attack.  I couldn’t sleep last night, my midsection was hurting,  actually my whole body was hurting.  I always do abs last and depending on how beat I am has a relationship as to how good I do ab work. I managed to get in two dragon flags before I felt something wrong so I quite and went to the swiss ball w/cable machine.  Tonight will probably be just cardio, either bike or running. Carrying around a little extra weight (on purpose), and its driving me crazy.  Weight is around 197.  Shoulders OK,  right bicep tweaked but will layoff for a couple of days, and it should go away.  Only have  8 more days of my gym,  before I hit my garage gym.  Till next blog,  Bye.

Blog update

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008

This month is going pretty good. Supplements are creatin and vitamins.  Protein is  what I eat through out the day.  I think I would do a lot better if my eating was right.  Still doing my PT for shoulders (first thing)- got to gym late yesterday so I scrambled to get everything done. This month and last month have been about volume- I need to up the game a bit and do heavy weights -low reps (rest of month).  Haven’t been running -usually don’t have the time- dreading hitting the road in winter.  Midsection looks heavier than usual- but its what I want and I can still get a four pack easy enough.  All in all still on the slowest getting jacked plan of all time.  Stretch marks are not in the picture.  Till next blog,  Bye.

Getting Better

Friday, December 12th, 2008

Shoulders are getting better.  My sleeping habits/posture were makeing matters worse.   I am doing the PT and almost staying away from any shoulder work- besides my little 10lb weights/pushups.  After all is said and done I know I had the torn (R)and  strained (L) RC. A small case of pinched ulnar nerve or and bicep tendinitis and what I think was mild thorasic outlet syndrome.  2008 was/is a rotten year,  I’m ready for 2009.  Till next blog,  Bye.

December

Monday, December 1st, 2008

Feeling like I’m makeing some progress.  Shoulders still not right,  but doesn’t seem to be linked to my workingout. On my way back to 200lbs,  diet is dirty but I can lose the extra weight fairly easily if needed.  Did cardio for 15 minutes jogging (1.5 miles) and then assisted widegrip chinups X 10sets.  Did all my PT for the Rotator cup.  Only have one month left on the gym membership-  kinda freaking there but will deal with it.  Will start again with the creatin today- not sure about how well it works.  Till next blog,  Bye.
