Well, forget about 175lbs. The lowest I’ve been able to get is in the upper 170s. Typically around 179. Worked out last night, still trying to find excercises that layoff the biceps. Was experimenting with the bench press, dumbbell bench press is better than bar. Still sore from lunges. Did shoulders and pecs. Really need to get a workout routine and stick to it.

Getting beat up is old hat. Degenerative disk - fixed. Strained rotator cuff - now stable. Bicep tendenitis - going thru now. Will take this over the other two any day. Doc said to lay off anything that aggrevates the arm. MD holds my hands and tries to turn my arms out, and his arm pops. I thought that was funny. I wasn’t funny when he said I had to layoff for maybe six months. So…. Yesterday went to the gym and worked around the bicep problem. I can still do Hammer curls w/o pain. Will alter excercizes, but its not looking so bad. I am putting that arm on ice after workouts. Still got a nice pump going anyway. Till next blog, Bye.

Gyms been kinda coasting along. Did my max lifts last week and was sore for 2-3 days. That hasn’t happened in awhile, so I’m thinking I’ve been taking it to easy at the gym. I’ve been recording my lifts and progress has been slow on the bench press and squats. I’m going back to my HIT workout and make sure I’m lifting more weight each week. Been eating really bad, usually no breakfast (bad) and a PBJ sandwich at lunch. Dinner is usually what the family has. Midsection looks really good for me, but lifts are lower than when I was in the 190s weight wise. I like the lean look, but the whole reason I’m doing this is to put on some muscle mass. I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in so, I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing. Looking at others, it looks like usually about the third to fourth year of working out is when a difference in the body really shows, by year 7 to 8 your fairly jacked. I’ve got a way to go. Oh, well. Till next blog, Bye.

That was funny, looking back to when I joined a gym. My starting weights are much lighter, than now. Tonight at the gym, I’m going to do max lifts just to see where I am. Aside from a sore forearm, I think I can get a good number from my standard lifts. I’m sure their will be some better than others, simply because I have favorite body parts. Heres my list at my current weight of 180 lbs. I’ll print this out and newb it at the gym, pencil and paper in tow.
Dumbbell curl 4X100
Bench press 3×170
Deadlifts 4×250
chest flys 10×45
leg extensions 8×245
prone leg curls 5×140
chin ups, which I really don’t do and don’t enjoy. Arm gave out.
skull crushers 4×90
tricep rope pulldown 10×120
shoulder press. 7×135
Till next blog, Bye.

Worked out last night. Cardio run 15 minutes, (2) high intensity sessions. Walking lunges 2 sets at 40 lbs 1 set 45 lbs. Balance….. Worked shoulders, lateral raises, and dumbbell shoulder presses. Left forearm still sore, but worked light weights. Did ab work on swissball. Abs screaming uncle the whole way. Energy level 85%, probably need to eat more. Will finish the week off, without a workout program. Next week I’ll get back on my favorite low rep/ high weight workout. I really need to up my weights, so I’ll make a good effort, at not pushing the easy button. Till next blog , Bye.

I’m about at the end of whatever weight I can lose. Weight that I’m comfortable losing. Fall has arrived, so maybe its time to forget about the abs for awhile. I’ve figured out my ideal weight should be around 175 ish - all abs defined weight. My plan is to hang around the high 180’s and eat what I want. Running isn’t so bad at this weight. I’m still at the new gym, however newer gym moving in about 2 miles from house, so I’m thinking I’ll run (literally). Won’t have to worry about blowing gym time with cardio. Till next blog, Bye.

Ran my 2 something mile last night. I’m finding my running groove again. Didn’t do much more, except putt putt with the biceps. Trying to get past some soreness, that’s been hanging around for about two weeks. Did my weighted walking lunges with 40’s and then w/o weights. I was hurting when I finished and crawled home. Body weights around 180 now. Till next blog bye.
