Traveling for Work and Eating Clean… Help!
So, I got a new gig. It’s pretty high profile and requires a lot of travel. I am very concerned how this will effect my workouts and my clean diet. I have a good routine going right now and I do not want to mess up my progress. At this point I know I will be traveling consistently for the next two months but, I will never be in one place for longer than a week (I think).
I am looking for advice from my BB.com friends that are in similar situations. Your input is always appreciated!! Thank you!!

I thought eating clean on the run would be hard but its not…I only have a problem with eating 6 small meals a day. My best friend is the mini george foreman in the suitcase , hotels with microwave + fridge & keeping my fav seasonings in a ziplock bag (Ms. Dash, garlic powder, sea salt, pepper, cinnamon, etc). On the day of travel grill some chicken tenders, get fruit, & complex carbs 2 go, then pack a small luch kit 4 24hrs..like you would a picnic. When you arrive find a map with list of grocery stores nearby…get instant oatmeal or grits, chicken tenders, those steam single vegetable for microwave, bananas, boxed single pack of brown rice, fat free yougurt, they also sell bags of preboiled eggs (they taste the same as if you boiled them) & tuppeware bowls for 1.97 for a pack of 3. These things will keep at least a week in fridge… it may get boring but remember we eat to live not live to eat plus us sister know how to make anything taste good. Put your mind to it & you’ll make it through.Good luck!

Dont forget to drink lots of water and a protein shake (muscle milk etc..) are great in between regular meals if you find your in a rush. Special K has the protein waters you might want to look into those help me when I am busy at work.

If you’re not going to be in one spot more than a month that means a lot of eating out. But no worries. Many places now prepare to order. So basically you can tell them how you want something and they should be able to accomodate you. Secondly, if you can pick a hotel that has some sort of fitness center. A lot of business hotels nowadays have relationships with nearby fitness centers. For example, I had to go out to Atlanta for a week, and stayed at the Doubletree. While there I was able to workout at the Nearby Crunch fitness facility. It was at a rate of $10 every time, but for the three times I went it was well worth the loot. Hope those suggestions help a little.
Peace!
