lazy dickhead

Mmk so i went back to the gym after a week off. I went on vacation to buffalo/niagara falls and definitely didnt keep up with my exercise. I did Tae bo on sunday and thats it. Other than that i lost all motivation and have to build it back up. I feel shitty not only because i should have kept it up but not going also lowered my energy a lot. I started out light with a half hour of cardio today. I did the elliptical backwards for 30 minutes with 10 min on level 6, 5 min level 10, 10 min level 15, and 5 min level 10. A positive note is that i didnt gain any weight and ive done much better on my diet. Much more veggies and protein. Today so far ive had a meal bar, soy milk, 2 veggie dogs with pepperjack almond cheese, and salad with vegan poppyseed dressing. Tonight ill have vegan chili and veggies with hummus.

I worked out today after taking 3 days off. I picked up a bunch of overtime at work and got my stuff together for school in the fall, so it definitely wasnt out of pure laziness. I did 2 sets of 12 with leg press-100, quad thing 70 abductor and adductor 150, pullups assist of 85, tricep dips assist of 100, lat pulldown 65, row machine 55, and knee raises. I definitely lost momentum taking the days off, and im also sick again. but im slowly getting better so im gonna go tomorrow and sweat it out.

today was cardio and upper body. I did 20 min on elliptical-10forward 10 backward. then i did assisted pullups with 85 lbs, dips assisted with 100 lbs. bicep curls with 40 pounds, chest flye with 30 lbs, lat pulldown with 60 lbs, row with 50 lbs, chest press with 30 lbs, and tricep extension with 40 lbs, all for 2 sets of 10.

Extra day

Saturday, May 19th, 2007

Today i went to the gym and did some cardio. I’ve only been going 4 days a week, and i havent been on a saturday yet, so it was a nice change. It was pretty dead, which i like. I did 45 minutes on the elliptical again. It went by much faster today, mostly because they got the tv’s up finally. I think im going to try and go 5 days a week instead of 4 especially knowing that saturdays are nice and quiet.

cardio day

Today i did the elliptical machine. I alternated 10 forward with 5 minutes backward for a total of 45 minutes. I’ve decided to try and up all cardio to at least 45 minutes because i havent really lost weight yet. I can see miniscule amounts of muscle starting to show, but theres still too much fat on my body. im also going to eat more protein. i dont think im getting enough and i keep reaching for carbs when im hungry so im going to train myself to want protein first, especially for weight training.

el legs today

Wednesday, May 16th, 2007

today i did 3 sets of 12 on the adductor and abductor with 100 lbs, the hamstring curl and quad thingy machine with 50 lbs, and the leg press with 100 pounds, and each time i finished the press, i did a calf raise. i also did 15 minutes on the elliptical, but then i ran out of time because i have to go to work. Tomorrow i will try and go earlier so i have enough time to thoroughly work out.

No show

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007

Today i changed up my routine and did another cardio day. My training partner never showed up, so im forcing her to go tomorrow and thursday instead. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical ( 20m forward, 10m backward), and 20 minutes on the bike. I also took a pic this mornin for my progress. It makes me feel better to see a difference.

Today my cousin and I did the treadmill. We alternate 2 minutes of 3.6 with 30 seconds of 7.0. We did that for a total of 30 minutes today. It definitely gets my heart rate up. I would eventually like to build on the running part and build up my speed in general.

cardio day

Today i did cardio. Im all sweaty and it feels nice. I did 25 min on the elliptical, which at first burns the shit out of my quads, then it stops hurting, then i sweat profusely. Then i did 25 minutes on the bike, which i think i only sweat a little, then i get up and my ass is soaked. I also will be doing up some walking at work with a kid i take care of. It’s nice that she’s motivated to exercise and I thoroughly enjoy assisting her.

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

I did 30 minutes on the treadmill today, then i worked out my legs. I was a little crunched for time, so I didn’t get to do everything i wanted to, but im glad i did something. I’m going to look up some leg exercises tonight, because i get bored easily and there really isnt a lot of variety of leg machines there. Tomorrow is going to be cardio day. I really suck at it and i’m going to make sure im good and sweaty. I dont get those ads on tv where they brag about whatever they’re selling and it doesnt even feel like you’re working out. If i work out, i like to feel like im just about dead, because then i know i truly worked out and put forth effort. I actually enjoy being sweaty and stinky (those around me may not however).
