I’ve been slacking so badly. I havent been to the gym in a month or so. I can’t believe i let it go. I’ve decided to get back on the wagon and get in better shape. I started on wednesday and worked out mostly my upper body. Yesterday was my heavy duty day. i was at the gym for about an hour and a half, which is unusual since im the queen of giving up after a half hour, except for cardio once in a while. I did a lot of leg stuff and some abs, and im still prety sore. I took today off and plan on going in tomorrow and focusing on upper body and cardio again. Im lucky that on my hiatus i didnt really gain any weight. My diet has been decent and i hope to keep it up, and just up my protein and lower my sugar intake. We shall see……

Today i worked out my arms. I haven’t been in a week and i definitely felt it. I’ve been mega stressed out with trying to get my school stuff together and getting an apartment, and i regret not going, because i probably couldve gotten rid of my frustrations by sweating it out. Today was extra worse because i took a nap hoping to regain my energy, and instead i zapped what little i had. I did 2 sets of ten of pullups, preacher curl, machine curl, tricep dips, tricep cable pulldown, machine pushdown, overhead press, lateral press, and wide grip press. It was torture to get through, even with an energy drink in me. No more naps!

Today i worked out my legs. I upped the weight today and i definitely felt it more by the last rep. I did 2 sets of the following: abductor at 200, adductor at 180, hamstring curl at 100, leg extension at 80, leg press at 120, and seated calf raise at 40. It burned and I enjoyed it greatly.

Today was supposed to be an hour of cardio. I had exactly an hour before i needed to be home for a doctor’s appointment. Lo and behold, driving over the mountain, i get to the end, and apparently a tractor trailer decided it’d be a good idea to try a u turn on a mountain road. Yeah. He ended up stuck across the width of the road, and my ass had to turn around go back over the mountain and go around. I lost a half hour and just worked harder for that half hour. I have a few minutes before work so i’ll probably do up some abs.

so today i decided to do up my arms. I did 4 x 10 of shoulder presses, then 3×10 of upright row, bent lateral raise, curls, bent over tri extension, and overhead extension, and 2×10 drag curl and hammer curl. I felt better doing it. I was feeling lazy, too lazy to go to the gym, so im glad i forced myself to do something. I keep taking days off and it makes it that much harder to get back into a routine.

Today i went to the gym to do cardio. I did 45 min on the elliptical, and became a bucket of sweat 5 minutes into the routine. There is no form of cooling system in the gym because its open and connected to the mall. I’m absolutely disgusting right now, both from the workout and the weather. Fun times.

Today for cardio, im gonna do some different exercise. I’m doing some bellydancing, followed by nyc ballet. It will be a good time. Anyone have a fun ab routine to recommend?

Today i started working on my arms , i did 2 different bicep moves and 2 tricep moves and pullups and chest flyes. i saw a sign that there was a yoga class at noon, so i signed up and jumped on the elliptical instead till it was time. I then did a 45 min yoga class, and it made me quite relaxed for work.

So i definitely havent been up to par on my exercise. I havent been to the gym in a week or so, but i have been doing exercise at my house ( free weights and videos). So my brother decides he wants to go running at the track. at 1 am. I agree. We get there and im like ‘what are we doin?’ he says ohh we’ll go for a light 5 mile jog. i assume hes serious and i dont wanna complain so i try and pace myself. Yeah it blew major ass. Definitely a wake up call on my cardio. he was joking and actually only meant to run a couple of miles but he didnt want to give up before me so he kept goin and lapped me a couple of times. finally he gave up and i went two more laps to "catch up" to his distance, and even sprinted the straightaways the last two. My quads are on fire. Not a fun time right now.

I didn’t realize how badly i’ve been slacking. I’m definitely still working out, but my schedule has been crazy and full of random shifts, so blogging hasn’t been top priority. I did the elliptical today for 60 min at level 10 (30 forward, 30 backward). The machine said i burned a little over 600 calories. How accurate are those machines?
