Marine Corps Reunion

So this weekend we had a reunion. I haven’t seen my Marine brothers in over 20 years and 7 of us were able to get together. I haven’t felt that good in a long while. There is such a connection between Marines and I needed this. I have been down and out and haven’t worked out in 2 weeks. This has given me the motivation to get my FAT a@@ back in the gym.

Discipline!!!!!!! Why?

I have such great discipline in everything but eating. Why I ask myself do I continue to screw this part up.

As of today I am down 26 pounds. What a difference it makes me feel. At 300 I was sluggish but still able to run and run fast. But now I can last longer and feel much better.

Tae Kwon Do no more

I had to drop Tae Kwon Do for 2 reasons. One is my knee is not holding up and I will probably need surgery again and the other is that I have just switched over to 16 hours shifts. The good thing is I am in charge and can give everyone 2 hours a day that we will use at the gym. The other good news is I am down 25 pounds.

Tae Kwon Do

So my son started Tae Kwon Do this past Monday and they allowed him into the tournament today. He did real well and placed 3RD. I am real proud of him and I tell you he inspired me. So I will start this Monday in his class which is all age groups until they get other old farts<joking> like me. I figure since I run my butt off this will be another bit of cardio for me for 1.5 hours 3 times a week. I just can’t wait until I get in a tournament and fight. It looks awesome.

9 minute triceps

I forgot what magazine I read this in but it is a killer. After a very heavy chest workout pick 1 and only 1 tricep exercise. I used pushdowns for this. Pick a weight that you can do 12-15 reps and do a set. Rest 20 seconds and repeat again resting 20 seconds and repeat. Continue doing this for 9 minutes. What a pump it is and a great way to gain size.

That is the question I ask myself. For example, I know that eating all this crap will kill me one day either by diabetes, heart disease, or some other disease but I still do it. What is up with that?
