I have been contemplating building a home gym. Though it may be costly, with my busy schedule I thin having a home gym would be more beneficial. I would like to hear others input on this matter. Thank you

I have always believed that a gym supports motivation far more than a home gym. To see what others have accomplished and seeing their hard work helps me to push harder and see what i could look like. Plus, watching the ladies on stairsteppers and elipticals helps too!
I feel the same way actually. However, with my daily 12 - 16 hour work days it is hard to get to the gym. I do go regardless but I am thinking it would be easier at home.
Everyone’s different… If you’ve got the space there’s not much you can’t do with a good multi-station, smith/squat cage, and a free-motion. At the same time, its like a job, too. Home is the place of relaxing and everything else gets taken there. The last thing you want is to hate having to workout simply because its home. On the other hand, its nice to be able to go when your schedule allows, blare some music you like versus the crappy gym music (very bad at my gym), and never have to wait for machines. Its all a toss up, really. Most gyms you’d have to go for years before you’d rack up the expense of the equipment for home depending on what all you got.
I’ve been finding it really hard to get myself to the gym with my schedule. So, I’m working out at home now. If you’re more likely to stick to working out by having a home gym than go for it!
Yes, this is one of the reasons I want a home gym. However, before my surgery I had no problem getting to the gym at least 5 days a week. Now it has been 5 weeks since I lasted worked out because I’ve had back-to-back ailments.
I hope you’re feeling better now. Honestly, I think you should go for it. It is a lot of money, but think of it as a good investment. And, I hope you’re feeling better now. Take care!
Before starting the P90 series, i started to build my own gym with weights n’ such.. I actually liked it. I was able to work at my own pace, not have to weight for someone to free up with a machine or weights (gym). if i didn’t "feel" like driving across town to the gym..i really had no excuse NOT to workout. it was right there downstairs waiting for me when i got up or off work.
Those are just my feelings towards it.
