I am on my third day of this plan. My ratios haven’t been perfect, having a hard time bringing my carbs down to 5%, but they haven’t been higher then 10%.
My fats are around 58% to 60% while my carbs are around 30 to 33% something like that… lol. I did find that today, third day…I am showing traces of Ketosis. Good news, but I think that if I could have dropped my carbs further down, I would be in better shape.
I am not hungry, which is good. Though I did experience some groutchiness at work last night. lol. I haven’t been drinking at work either and the protein bars, cheese sticks, nuts and rtds are helping me eat every three hours while at work. Good news since I am not starving for 8 hours now.
Well can’t really expect much since its only my third day. Haven’t noticed any lag in my workouts. I actually feel very good and energized while at the gym. Although I am sure that might all change when I am actually in ketosis.
I am nervous about eating so much fat, goes comepletely against anything I have ever learned and I really don’t want to get bigger.
I do find that its easier to keep my caloric intake down, and I have lost a pound since I first joined bodyspace. I guess it’s healthy that I lost only one pound this week, but you know how it is…I want to be a slave to the damned scale!!
I went out and bought body fat clippers today so hopefully I can get a much better idea of my body composition. Hope I do this right. Wish me luck.
P.s thanks for all the comments and input. I greatly appreciate it!

Ok, so I weight myself today and low and behold I gained a pound this week! I am trying to stay positive as I know I hit the weights a little harder this week, but no way I gained a pound of muscle this quick. I am going in on wednesday to have my body fat checked that way I can focus my attention on that. I do know too that on friday and saturday I had a few drinks so that definately didn’t help my goals. I did get up early this morning and did some AM cardio on an empty stomach…hopefully I will have better news on my next update.

Ok, so I started at 170.0 and now I am down to 162. In a week and a half, I think that’s healthy…just worried about how much of it was actually fat.
My friends and I have definately noticed a difference in my midsection. Thank god! What a huge motivation and boost that was. Had one cheat day, and that was yesterday. It wouldn’t be so bad, except that I had a few drinks and only had time for two meals.
As of this week I am staying away from the scale until Wednesdays. I tend to focus to much on it, and end up weighting myself every day. That can be a bummer.
Can’t wait till wednesday and I hope to be able to update my profile with new stats and pics!!!! lol

Ok, so I found this awesome space when I was reading thru some of the articles on bodybuilding.com.
I am super excited and feel like this will be an excellent tool for me. I know it will be easier to stay motivated if I am accountable in some way. As of a week a go I started eating cleanly, gave up the alcohol and have been hitting the gym. So far I am down 6 pounds. Now I need to continue staying committed and moving forward. I am very excited!
