This is the week that I jump from 2 cardio sessions a week to 3. I have been a little sore…hell sore, shit My body hurts some days! I wish the workout tracker also logged cardio sessions and activity. I like the MapmyRun.com (also MapmyBike/Tri/ Etc) It helps me log things and now I guess they have a mapmyworkout also.
I would say that the hardest thing for me is that I eat an Ovo-vegetarian meal plan and I buy egg whites in a carton. I take a veggie based protein powder that ROCKS(Spirutein) as far as smoothness, texture (thickens up nice for pudding type snacks) and FLAVORS (OHH SNAP!) But it is only 14 grams of protein per scoop and I haven;t been able to keep up my protein requirements and I need to add without having to OD on egg whites. I was thinking of adding an Advocare protein or a BSN protein to my regimen for these last 8 weeks. Here is a sample daily meal:
Meal #1: 1/2 White Grapefruit with Cane sugar (1 packet), 2 small Buckwheat Pancakes with strawberry yogurt on them, Banana water
Supplements: MNS Max Energy, Joint ProMotion, and Calcium
Meal #2: Rancho Burrito, Hashbrowns, Blk Coffee
Lift: Muscle Strength (3), and Muscle Fuel (1Pk) immediately b4 working out
Meal #3: (Immediately after working out) BSN Syntha 6
Meal#4: (Took the rest of my MNS Max Energy pack and had a Spark with my meal)
2 domino sized pcs of cheddar cheese, Mixed Nuts
Total Calories: 1246 (Goal: 2000), Total Protein: 55.5 (Goal: 210), Total Carbs: 122.5 (Goal: 125!) Total Fat: 36 (Goal: 36) This is an accurate representation of my usual day. I need to plan for more protein when I grocery shop and do smaller carb portions. I also usually take a protein shake in before bed and take my Nighttime Recovery supplement also.
This week I took my protein foods list with me to shop but I was short of grocery funds this week so it makes it hard. I lean on rice and pastas when I am short on cash unfortunately.
Meal#2:
It is also difficult with the 2 kids getting up and eating a big breakfast and getting off to the gym before their daycare closes. It closes at 1pm and then doesn’t re-open until 4pm. And ,forget that if I have to go in anytime around rush hour, there are a bunch of regulars there that I get irritated when they throw weights and act like they own the equipment(not that they hog it, but they like to abuse the equipment) I LOVE it during the daytime when NO ONE is there and I can be in peace. It just gets to crowded for my taste from 5-7pm, I used to go at night around 8pm, but the damn daycare closes at 9pm. I can;t freakin win! and the mas time on the daycare is 2 hours, what the f#ck is that? I can’t lift, cardio and shower in 2 hours! So I cardio at home and say **** it or go home all nasty and hope to get in the shower right away.
