May 29 Tuesday

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

Today I have my second appointment with a trainer.  I got up late and ate some Life cereal in a baggie  and Apple Cherry 100% juice.  I have to find a babysitter for while I am on duty today, find a babysitter for today while I am at the gym, and put away all the clothes that I washed SUNDAY.  I am getting a  little behind because of the holiday.  Either way, i also have to write up a daily schedule for while I am gone for Dad to follow and what things have to be done that I DO, while I am gone.PLUS….Figure out what to make that can be frozen for while I am gone so that they don’t eat Ramen and frozen dinners the whole time.Interesting , isn’t it?  All this and I have to bike to the gym by 5pm.  See you later,  I have things to do…..

Later…

Had a banana/ strawberry w/ soy protein shake with Shrimp Ramen and oriental veggies for lunch, Snack was pretzel sticks and my supplements. WATER I ate an apple before I worked out and the session w/ the trainer was 1/2 hour.  WATERI stayed and did my own workout.  Then had a Kashi Bar and an orange afterwards. WATER I biked there and back home Total 20 miles and I did lower back and legs today for weight training. WATER I found 2 daycares and set up appointments for tomorrow.  I switched my trainer times to days and I set up the appointments for when the hubby gets out of work.  That way the appointmetns don’t conflict with training.

I noticed the heavy lifters started acknowledging me at the gym, which is cool in it’s own rite.  I lift pretty heavy and I notice the other ppl that do too.  So, It’s nice that ppl see me in that way.   My tri’s are feeling better but it kind of moved into my left elbow and my knees are sore tonight.  I am thinking of wrapping my knees next week for leg training.  Guess I am getting older…LOL

Dinner:  Ramen-Shrimp, banana, and strawberries sprinkled with sugar(just a little bit!) WATER, WATER (heehee…like that?  Mmmm, water….  LOL)

Memorial Day

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

Well, this was an interesting day.  I took 4 kids on the bikes to the Memorial Cemetary for the ceremonies and then to a carnival across town.  Altogether a great day as far as activity.  My tricep os still hurting but not as bad I wore a tendonitis brace for my elbow around my tri for the day because I was carrying the baby n a wrap on the bike.  It puts a little extra pressure on the tris with the weight that you are holding up with your back and arms.  We did 5 miles to the Memorial Park and 5 miles to the Carnival.  We ate Oatmeal with cane sugar and blueberries for breakfast, a hotdog at the park with sodas and water all the way. Then for lunch we had apples, oranges, trail  mix, popcorn and Kashi GOLean bars ( the kids ate all of mine so I ate a Mojo Fruit and crunch bar)  WIth soda and water.  Then we triked over at 4 pm to the McDonalds and everyone got a Dbl. Cheeseburger.  I had a small coke and a caramel sundae. All 5 of us split a small fry, that came out to about 4 fries each.  They taste better when you only have a couple , don’t they?  HEEHEE   That was their treat for doing so well and not complaining on the bike.  Actually they were so happy to get out of the house and go onto a real street that they never really complained at all!  We live in a complex, so they only get to bike around the complex, they are gated in, you know?  They had to learn the rules of the raod and looking into alleys and watching for parking lot traffic and the like.  It was good for them.  Then, the baby fell and busted his lip in the playland so we all had to leave and take him to the ER.  YEA.  I didn;t really eat the rest of the night that I can remember.  Just water.

The Weekend

Saturday, May 26th, 2007

Well,…  I went in Friday for my 1st gratuitous session with a personal trainer at the new gym.  She helped me on correct form for upright tri-cep presses and ab work on a stability ball.  That was cool and my tri’s were killin’!!!  She said I am great to train too!  :)   Do they get paid to say that?  LOL  ANY-who, I liked it and I get one more session.  Also, I signed up for 3 session packages. I was feeling pretty good after that, and got home and went to Pirates of the Caribbean 3.  I went to Mc D’s with my son b4 the movie and had a Big and Tasty (no cheese) with a light lemonade and a medley salad w/ Sesame Ginger Dressing and it was really tasty.  I was surprised because I didn’t really like the Ginger dressing from Wendy’s.  At the movie that night, I ate a Twix, a couple handfuls of my son;s popcorn and a SODA.  I really don’t drink soda anymore so that was a real treat, yet in the back of my mind I was thinking, I am going to have to work to get this off later.  That sucks and I hate soda for the HFCS(yrup) that is in it, but I love Cherry Coke and Squirt!  Plus, I didn’t even realize it until know, I had sworn off all Coke products because they refuse to stop animal testing. AHHHH…see what a tangled web we weave?  My quads and calves were sore from Thursdays workout too!  Man they still hurt today! Either way, today I woke up and ate Life cereal w/ Soy milk and strawberries.  Then for a snack I had a trail mix and a Gatorade.  Lunch I had a chocolate ice cream and 1 fish taco (Fried, I know ..I know…they didn’t have regular) with corn tortillas and rice w/ Light Lemonade.  And for dinner I had  8 oz of Coke, and a Rice Dish that was left over from the other night.  I topped it with about 2 oz of imitation crab and 1/8 c. Low-fat cottage cheese.  I haven’t taken my supplements today. But I am going to take them right now.

I am so freakin Tired–Work through it

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

Ahh, well I am really off and I have been puttering around for the last two days.  I am PMS-ing so I am getting really tired.  I biked to Wal-Mart today before I ate, and then was so hungry I went to McD’s with the kids.  Then we biked home and I was so tired I took a nap.  So, I guess I should have maybe worked out (aerobics) at home while the kids ate breakfast and then I could have eaten a oatmeal breakfast, and started my day off better.  Tomorrow is a all Cardio Day, so I am looking forward to running again.  I have noticed my tendinitis or whatever it is in my wrists and elbows has been showing up again.  It was really bad this past weekend with the push-ups.  Either way I have braces and I downloaded a tendinitis strengthening workout form some medical website.  "Work Through it"

New 1 week pics- Still Grossed out

Monday, May 21st, 2007

Here’s my 1 week transformation pics.  I just picked up a new body fat amd BMI trial program

BMI : 35.96 (Obese, great I didn’t know THAT)

BMR:  1677 at rest 2600 w/ activity

I am also entering week 4 of my current workout week 3 was a Non-impact week.  I didn’t pass the sit-up portion of my PT test by 12 sit-ups, so I am amping up the program until the 6th week is over(as far as the ab work)  I cut 3 minutes off my run time so I was VERY happy about that and hit 100% on my push-ups(Big deal, I have always done well,so I wasn’t surprised anyways. Either way, that was the whole goal of my current 6 week workout program that I got off of military.com and I tailored it a bit for me.

But, today was a rest day so I researched and got my next program detailed out it is a 12 week program and I am getting a caliper and self-taper set to go along with that.  It is MUCH more concentrated on maintaining my runtime and adding heavier weight routine, YEAH!  I LOVE to lift.  Muaahhhhhaaahaa…..And of course, the abs are a main focus.  See you in about 2 weeks with my new workout posting.  Oh, and BTW…I will be gone to the feild for 2 weeks in June so I don’t know how much I’ll post, but I will definitely be getting my "exercise on"  out in the field.  Just not looking forward to MREs again, YUCK.  Lots of salt and protein. We’ll see what that does to my GLEAMING BP record.  HA.  I leave June 9th.
