You know, I really enjoy a good gym session. There is nothing like going in and just working out till you have nothing more. If it was a bad day, that’s fine. By the end of a good gym session all that negative energy is out. I usually do not want to do anything. My train of thought gets pretty steady and anything I was worried about or focused on pretty much disappears. All I can think about is a hot shower and oddly enough, my post protein shake. Exercise is definitely a stress reliever. The sad part is that after you work out you do not look as good as you feel. Ha ha ha ha.
I love the intensity you feel after working out. Even though you are tired, you still feel a rush. The blood pumping into your muscles, making you feel like you are about to burst through your shirt. I love that feeling. The “PUMP.” Makes me feel good, like I accomplished something. And if do not feel it, I know I have more to go before I am done. I do not stop until I feel fully pumped.
The worst part is getting this feeling that you are changing. The feeling that your body is changing. Knowing that you are changing. And then going home and taking of your shirt before the shower and still seeing the love handles. HA. That can be disheartening, but I do not let it get me down. Change is a process. It does not happen overnight for everything, and my body will not change over night no matter how much I will it to. I am realistic, but it is easy to see how you can lose sight of things sometimes. I think we are raised and expect immediate satisfaction now-a-days. Unfortunate, that mentality can really affect so many aspects of our lives negatively. I just try and hope for the best.
