115 IN THE SHADE!!

Well its been a week now since I deployed to Kuwait and things aren’t going to bad. The temperature here ranges between 115 and 120 degrees during the day and around 70-90 at night. What sucks the most with that is when the wind blows, it feels like someone turned on a hair dryer HOT HOT HOT! So I usually stay sweaty most of the day. Other than that, things aren’t to bad (as deployments go).

I’m not sure how much longer I have here but as soon as move out to Iraq and get settled I’ll let yua know. Training is going well. They have a sweet gym here. Its got just about everything a guy could need to train, I’ll try and  take some pics  and post later.

The chow hall here isn’t that bad either. I get as much as I want to eat. The only problem I’m having is trying to stay away from the Baskin & Robbins they set up inside the chow hall. So far I’m winning the battle!

Take it easy out there man. Two of my best friends are twins and they were deployed over there for a while. When they came back it was nothing but horror stories.

    Come back safe.

Sounds like your at Ali Al Salmeen. I was there for a week last month and I couldnt get over how at 5am in the morning it was 100 degrees. Then round noonish it felt like a hair dryer blowing in your face.

It doesn’t get much cooler once you get to Iraq, a little cooler about 5 degrees, it won’t cool down till around nov-dec. Good Luck on your tour, you will probably end up having a gym wherever you end up being. Chow halls are decient for the most part, it’s just hard to eat clean out here, not because of the dast food, more because of the choices on the menu, not always the best all the time, but can’t complain that bad. Again good luck on the tour and on your trianing in Iraq.

Send some of that dry weather down here to Texas! We have been getting flooded out. On the weather news we have broken a record. We have had rain here in Austin everyday for 1 and 1 half months. It won’t stop raining.
I started the P90X workout DVDs. It is really kicking my butt.
Have a good week and think cool thoughts.
