SAT: 31MAR07 Week #1:

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

TRAINING: Training went well my first week back. I did the following;

·        MON 26th : Shoulders, Traps & ABS

·        TUE: 27th:  Arms & Calves

·        WED 28th:  Off

·        THR 29th: Shoulders, Traps & ABS

·        FRI 29th  Legs & Calves

 Yeah that’s right; I trained shoulders twice this week. Had a little but of a brain cramp and didn’t realize it till half way in to the work out.

NUTRITION: Other than trying to clean up my food intake, I didn’t really focus on counting calories this week. I’ll try to start recording what I eat next week. My intent is to manipulate my carbohydrates through out the week.

SUPPLEMENTS:  As for my supplement routine, I’m trying to keep it simple. The following is what I started on Monday; (See supplement section)

The Quest begins

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

  My quest began today with Upper back and Traps! All in all, the workout was ok. Even though the amount of weight we use isn’t always as important as how we use it but I’d have to say that my numbers were a little low. I thought I’d entertain you by including some pictures of myself from the beginning. I hope you like it.

The Search Begins

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

  Ok, so here it is, I’ve forgotten what the riddle of steel is. The true essence of what we have all come to know as bodybuilding greatness.  A quest as true and as noble as a young barbarians search for a two headed serpent and as equally challenging. A riddle that I am proud to say, I once new but have long since forgotten due to the complexities of a life’s daily grind. I long to once again stand next to Crom on his mountain and look down upon the little people and laugh. Ok, back to reality here. The photos you see in my space are from 2002 and after a five year layoff from not competing. I did in fact train during that period but never competed. Now, fast forward some four and a half years latter and I’m ashamed to even call myself a fitness enthusiast. Sure, being in the military I do the required five days a week of push ups, sit ups and 2-8mile runs but it has been a long time since I’ve been able to truly devote time to my first love. With twelve to fifteen hour days at work and six to one year deployments  my ability to devote the time and dedication needed to create a true freak on nature seem next to impossible. However, I can not and will not allow this to continue. Starting today I have begun the search for what I so long ago misplaced and in an attempt to maybe motivate others (as well as myself thru you encouragement and support) will try to post my progress as often as possible.

Welcome!
