50 Pounds in 4 Months…Can I do it?
Ok guys. This month begins a major countdown for me. I have 4 months to go until my goal date. I am currently holding at 195lbs. I still hate mentioning my weight, but I will admit 195 is way easier to say than 247. I am grateful with how far I have come and very happy with where I am, but I am still pushing for my goal weight. I now have 4 months to lose 50 lbs. Is that even possible? I hope so! I think now it’s time to restrict myself more and up my cardio from 30mins 2x a day to cardio 45mins 2x a day and increase my workouts. I might try to take up spinning again. I try to stay as active as possible. Between work and workouts I am exhausted and have no time for anything else, which is fine b/c once I reach my goal I know I can slow it down. It will also be easier for me as I have had a year in my new found lifestyle so most things are just naturally custom.
If anyone can offer advice, tricks, knowledge, etc to me in this crunch timeĀ I would TRULY appreciate it.
Also, I would like to thank everyone for the constant inspiration and encourage I have received thus far. Have all of you as major supporters really help, especially on days I’d rather quit. I come online read some past comments and emails and it helps me find my will and I stay strong and push harder. I have start printing my favorite quotes and comments from here and have it in my progress & diet binder I read that a lot for inspiration. It truly helps. I recommend a binder like this to anyone.
Well guys, thanks for reading. Here is to my home stretch!!

I’m very impressed with your determination and motivation! I’m sure you’ll reach some major milestones in the next 4 months. Hey, if you even hit 25 or 30, that will be amazing! it gets harder to lose weight quickly the further you get in to it, but with your discipline, i’m sure you can knock 2 or 3 pounds a week, no problem. Just remember to hit those weights as well. Having more muscle mass takes more energy for your body to function each day meaning you’ll burn more calories daily with more muscle =)

oh yeah, and here’s a little thing that might help out..i’ll show you how to calculate your BEE (basal energy expenditure) based on your weight. This is an estimate of how many calories you burn each day just by living each day. Take your weight, divide it by 2.2 to convert it to Kg. then multiply it by 24. It’s that simple!
If you want to toss age into it, for you, divide your weight by 2.2 to get it in Kg, multiply it by 15.3, then add 679 to it all.
If you want to account for your general physical activity level, do the first equation and multiply the result by 1.25. That last number in this one can vary depending on your activity factor ranging from sedentary to being a competitive athlete. I just used the number that would give you the lower range of Calories to ensure weight loss.
If you make sure to consume less calories than the last method will give you, you’ll be sure to keep losing. Sorry for the length, but you asked for some tips =P. Good luck, alicia. I know you can do it!
