leg day

Friday, November 17th, 2006

last night was leg day, after identifying that i had a fairly significant strength imbalance beteen my rigt and left hand side i have been trying to work each leg independantly. im limited a little by the kit in my gym and i still need to work o lifts but tried the workout below, i think it still needs work…

at least i can feel something today AND i didnt have to teach last night, having hired a new instructor…result i get more nigts when i can train without having to rush, sweet.

incline leg press , front squat, bar lung, deadlifts,  single ham curls, calf raise, single calf raises.

tried 20 rep quats last week and that knocked me for six, gonna have to try and work them in again, plus chip conran posted an article , written by louis simmons, about working with chains and bands

which im kee to have a go at, i think the gym manager my object so i may have to get him drunk before i ask him if we can try it, hes into functional fitness so it may work….

getting better

thanks to lurking on myspace a reading some of the stuff that the more informed people have to say aon their sites i have changed the way i train and started stacking whey and creatine, ( celltech / nitrotech, currently) my weight is up and my bf down.

doing much more compund work working olympic lifts into every session, depending on my split onte day and i have re-arranged my teachig schedule to give me more rest time.  introduced plyomtrices and power work and tried to be smarter in my training all round.

my weight is now just below the 10st level and im maintainig that, my goal was to be 10st 2 by xmas and so far it looks good, even managed a steady run for 4 miles without my knee caving in,

sorry to start on a bad day

yesterday sucked, training was hard, mentaly and i was below par on all lifts, it was legs and that usually is a good day..also discoverd that i have a big imbalance, my left leg is considerably weaker than my right.

felt a little better when a couple of guys who are a lot bigger than i struggled to squat my warm up weight..

 maybe my biorythmns are out of whack, day off from lifting today but i do have to teach ?

weigh myself tonight weight is still up but below target weight
