food poisoning!! HELP!!!

Apparently last night when we went out to eat the chicken I had gave me food poisoning! I know because it’s happend before and I went to the dr. Anyway, does anyone know what I can do to make myself feel better??? I’m weak and shaking and can’t function very well today! HELP!!!

    Mix baking soda in water and drink it…

    WARNING!! this will make you throw up… but it was part of a Dr’s recommendation to help get the toxins out more quickly.

    Charcoal tablets from a health food store will really help you to get the poison out of your body. Betonite will also help (also at the health store).

    water, water, clear liquids. Unfortunately you are going to get a cleanseing whether you wanted it or not. What your system needs are nutrients that you are loseing. I really like the pedialite idea, also gatorade for the electrolites and sodium.

    Do yourself a big favor and log onto www.safetables.org. Safe Tables Our Priority is the premier resource for people who have food-poisoning.

    There are several things to remember:

    1) Doctors typically don’t think to test you for food-poisoning. Go and get a fecal test to determine what you ate. Most of the time, doctors will say you’ve got a stomach virus and not think to run the appropriate tests. You have to be your own care-giver — but get to the doctor as soon as you can.

    The bug will stay in your system long after you have finished running to the bathroom. They can still do a test.

    2) Notify the health department in your area if you feel you got sick from a restaurant. Were you the only one? The restaurant will not tell you if they’ve had other cases of food-poisoning unless they were flooded with calls.

    3) Food-poisoning can last longer than 3 days. Depending upon your age and health, it can really do you in. This isn’t something to take lightly.

    4) Drink lots of fluid as you’re probably getting dehydrated. That can shut down your kidneys. Yes, people do die from food-poisoning and its not just from peanuts.

    Very strong dark brewed tea (no bagged one!) with a lot of real sugar. It should be really strong and sweet. Hot or cold does not matter. Real things, please, no substitutes!
    You may add a thin slice of lemon into it for aroma but do not squize the juice.

    When you feel better start eating simple food like a piece of bread with jam, well cooked rice or oatmeal. No protein or fruits/vegetables as they are hard to digest.

    Maybe have some chicken soup w/crackers and drink alot of water. Keep hydrated. Hope you feel better.

    I’m not a doctor, and I don’t play one on TV. I didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn last night either, so all I can offer is my hope that you feel better soon.

    i have used grapefruit seed extract, and garlic. that’ll kill the little buggers.acidopholis as well.
