David and 3410 recommended that I try some prohormones to arrest the muscle deterioration. I think I may just give them a try.

It has been a month since my injury. I have gone for a few sessions of physio, and now I can do a front delt raise (without any weights) to about 100 degrees and lateral delt raise (without any weights) to about 80 degrees. I still can’t really move my left arm backwards.
The nurse at the physio place said that I’m a "lucky" bloke given the extent of the dislocation (whatever "lucky" means) and that my rear delt and back muscles are really weak now, and that I’ve got to be patient.
And so, I will wait a while more. I’ve lost about 4 pounds since I stopped going to the gym. I’ve got a bad, bad feeling that it’s all muscle loss.
But I WILL be back.

I was playing a game of basketball with the lads yesterday when I took a bad fall and dislocated my shoulder. I’m not allowed to do any training of any sort for the next couple of months, and that includes cardio and lifting.
Darn, my training schedule has just gone down the drain. And I’m worried that even after 2 months of rest, my shoulder will give way during my regular lifting. Darn.

For the past 2-3 weeks, I have been trying to adjust my training routine based on the feedback on this site. So far though, I haven’t been able to detect any measurable gains, although I have managed to increase my poundage very slightly for the various exercises. Still, it would have been nice if the measuring tape could have shown that I have grown bigger…
These days, I’ve also been following a few threads on arm training. I hope to own a thicker pair of arms, and fill up my sleeves. I’ve tried the reverse preacher curl, which felt really awkward to execute, but I suppose I will need time to get used to the movement.
Challenger - All the best in your training goals too.

Received some advice from turbo and male-23y/o. They told me to train to failure, using heavy reps. Perhaps 8 per set. Would I need a spotter though, if I’m training to failure?
turbo left me with a URL for my reference: http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com.

My first bodyblog post.
I had a good chat earlier in LiveChat with folks like eastburbs, barbell and Bronco. They gave me some good tips on supersetting, compound sets, poundage gain and form. Will try those out, and hope to see some gains, starting with the biceps. Thanks for the help, guys!
