Hamstrings and cardio
This hasn't been a fun workout week. Because of the holiday weekend, the gym is closed Saturday afternoon, which is when I normally go, and closed Sunday all day. I understand their employees need to have fun too but it really has made my lifting not as fun. I haven't been able to space out my working out like I like to and give my body the rest it needs. I wouldn't normally lift legs and do cardio but today I did to get everything in.
I guess this weekend my body will get the R&R it deserves. If I do anyworking out, it will not be lifting and would only be something I can do in the neighborhood, like walking, running, or cycling. Those are my only options since I don't have any weights. That's okay, though. I got all of my bodyparts done already. I'm satisfied with my lifting this week.
I need to talk less at the gym. I'm starting to talk too much to people in between sets. That is not good and I'm hanging out too much. Next week's goal is to focus more and work out hard. I don't want to become one of the people who's there three hours to do a workout. I want to keep my intensity up and my heart rate up. My only problem is that I'm happy the regulars are being nice to me and I don't want to offend people who start to talk to me by walking away or ignoring them.
I hope this is a fun weekend. It should be 90 degrees - YEAH! No rain in the forecast. I have some work I brought home that needs to be done by Tuesday night so I'd like to sneak a little work in on Saturday for a few hours and then I must work hard on Monday and Tuesday before it's back to the office on Wednesday! Wednesday through Friday are scheduled to be extremely busy days and I will probably have to do my workouts at 5:30 or 6:00 a.m. Oh, next week will be bad for me. I mustn't think about that yet!
