I have had the same experience with my shoulder wait for the pain to subside like a day or two then start workin your rotator cuffs because they are weak and possibly injured. from the sounds of it not to bad but keeping working your chest and shoulders just preexhaust them first. dont be stupid but be smart and stay in the game. flat bench isnt a necessity so use dumbells since its not as bad.

I've heard anywhere from 1-2 g/protein/lb during mass gaining was good to shoot towards. So I don't think 2 is too high. Dave Draper's tuna and water diet is all-you-care-to-eat of tuna and water for 3 days. It's a bit extreme but sometimes it's easier to be extreme than have too many choices. He says somewhere around the 10th can of tuna, though you start really getting sick of tuna! The water weight and bloating drops off very quickly.

Ya, I would opt to do those but my gym doesn't have a weighted belt so I'd have to hold a dumbell with my feet...hmmmm, I wonder how much I could hold? I'll experiment next time.

I often see big guys at my gym doing weighted dips with a belt, the vertical kind not on the bench. I guess this is both a chest and triceps exercise not strictly triceps. At least you wouldn't chaff your legs. You use 80# DBs for decline presses! wow.
