Wrist Injury
Yesterday I took only a couple hard falls snowboarding but the first one hit right on my palm as it was perpendicular to my arm. Basically all the impact was taken directly through the carpals and fortunately there was no hyperextension. I can only move my wrist back about 45 degrees before it starts to get uncomfortable. Had to lighten my work load today for massages and get creative to do some strokes right handed that I typically do left. Overall, not fun. I have 4.5 hours of massage to do tomorrow (if the new staff pays attention and doesn’t over book me…) and then off Sunday. The wrist really just needs time and ice to recover. I have functionality, just can’t take pressure on it. Hopefully it’ll be able to handle weights come Monday.

I had a wrist injury from falling while ice skating in January. I think it was a little more serious than yours, I had very limited range of motion for the first few days and a lot of swelling. I couldn’t hold any weight for a week, then when it started to improve it took about 6 weeks until I could do all my usual exercises without any trace of pain or stiffness. I’m sure yours will improve much quicker than that, just don’t overuse it for the next few days.

Dude that really sucks. Especially in your business. A little ice and rest though and you should be good as new. Good luck my man!

Wow…definatly not a good thing for either massage or lifting! BUT…run some energy into your arm via thought!! (Energy follows thought!) some ice and a little rest and hopefully you’ll be back at it hard very soon!!
