I placed 6th out of 12 amazing women in the NPC Oregon Ironman 2009 Competition.

To be honest, I didn’t think there were going to be so many competitiors this year. I was surprised that there were 12 girls this year in my class. (5′3 and under) Last year the category was 5′2 and under. If that was the case I would have placed 4th and would have received a trophy. Boo!!

It was a great and thrilling experience though. The girls were great and a lot nicer than I thought they would be. They were beautiful and had amazing bodies!

The pre judging was scary. Once I stepped onto the stage I looked like a deer staring at the headlights. Those bright lights practically blinded me. You should see my photos and video. I was squinting the whole time and had a weird expression on my face. I just couldn’t see anything and I was nervous as hell. But the good news is that I didn’t slip or trip and fall. I walked ok. My front and back poses could have been better but I wasn’t thinking straight. I knew I could have done better but once the judging is done it’s done.

Then onto the night show. I had a big fan base thats for sure. I’m from a small farm town and all my friends came to cheer me on which made me very happy and more relaxed. I’m so glad they were there. I really thought I would be in the top 5 but after they called out the 5th person and it wasn’t me I have to say I was so disappointed. I wasn’t happy at all and I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I felt like I let my friends down. They were so excite for me and they too thought I would place so not only I was bummed but they were too.

I went back to the hotel washed my face and put new makeup on and went back to the casino and went straight to the bar and danced the night away w/ my friends. We all had a great time.

So now, my husband and I are deciding which competition we should do next. Theres the Oregon State Championships in July and we were thinking of the Washington State Ironman in Oct and there is the Seven Feathers Comp in late Oct. Who knows, maybe we will do all 3. I’m determined to win a trophy!!! I really want the tiara though!! LOL!!!

I’m so happy I got my suit today. Looks so tiny …. Yikes! My dad will be coming to see me Sat for my comp. I wonder if he will be embarrassed.
I also went to the Mac counter and got the Studio Sculpt Foundation in NW45. It looks good and looks real on my face so now I feel better.

I have 6 more days till my very 1st competition!!! I’m excited but very nervous.

So, I have never blogged before it’s my first time. Yay me!

So as I am preparing for my 1st figure comp which is coming up in 1 week. It so happens that my daughters b-day is this week which means I have to watch everyone eat cupcakes. Of course I had to dip my finger into that frosting and taste it. Just couldn’t resist!
