As I continue to watch my diet more closely than I ever have before, I’m having some difficulty in increasing my cardio. I’m able to do it 4-5 times a week, but would like something more exciting than running, eliptical, treadmill, etc. So…today I started Brazilian Jiu Jitzu classes with Keith Owen. Keith is known worldwide for his teaching ability and…he worked my but off! Great way to burn calories! My weight training is still going well and continue to push myself everytime I go to the gym. Its great when the regulars come up to me and comment on how great I’m looking. So, I’m keeping on a steady path while tweeking things as I go.

Ok, its been a while since my first blog. I am feeling great with what I am doing. For the first time I’m focused on eating clean. I am also hitting the cardio.(I suppose to do that?) Putting it all together with lifting…can you believe I’m dropping body fat and gaining some mass. LOL! This is great! I can actually start to see the muscle I’ve been working on.

This week I have been doing a modified Tobata workout. Yes, you get a real burn and research says I’m suppose to gain strength. I’m doing this as an added way to decrease body fat. I do miss putting on some heavy weight though and having time to recover so I can give it everything I’ve got with each set. I’ve done well with cardio this week, even though running isn’t my favorite thing to do. I’m going to take some progress pictures this weekend. There should be a difference, although its never fast enough.
