Disapointment

March 24, 2009

So I went to Taekwondo nationals… and man it was fun. Sadly, I did not place well at all in any of my competitions. Especially sparring. Ugh. I was by far the weakest guy in my ring, and that just made me angry. So yeah, after getting my ass kicked I took a week off from all taekwondo and lifting entirely. No exercise, no running, nothing. I’m back now, and i have purchased some creatine, I do have protein powder, and I’m ready to work harder than ever to become bigger, stronger, faster, leaner,  increase my endurance and flexibility. Maybe my failure at nationals will be a success after all.

Creatine?

February 9, 2009

So I do not know much about creatine and wanted to learn more. It has been suggested by some that I take it, others say it will cause some problems (ie put water in my heart and anal seepage). What is your take on it? And if i could have any recommendations on a good supp if you do believe it would benefit me. Thanks

Working on it

December 8, 2008

So I need help. I’m still skinny as heck and ive been doing my best to down 250 grams of protein every day for the last 2 months. Yes i know it takes time, but any gains are coming so slowly :( . I am usually lifting 4 days a week for 2 hours, taekwondo for 4-5 hours, occasionally basketball 2-3 hours a week but I have cut that out the last few months due to time constraints, also i think thats a ton of cardio for a guy trying to gain. The problem is I want to gain and still increase my VO2 max, which is about 46 right now, which is good but I know i can get it higher. I also am competitive in Taekwondo and too much mass reduces flexibility, also bad, but i have a ways before that happens to me. I just need help!

Summer Update

July 20, 2008

Well I have been taking in 3500-4500 calories a day, not all healthy but im trying to take what i can get right now. Im starting to see gains and my strength is slowly but surely increasing as well, although honestly i dont feel stronger. I took the summer off from taekwondo, only doing it sparringly so i can memorize forms (kattas) in order to take my blackbelt test which is looking like that will be in February. I switched off GNC gainer to muscle milk, it tastes a lot better and actually gives me energy where as the otherone just filled me with calories and made me feel heavy. Ill be kicking it up a notch to try to see gains before the Fall semester starts, so wish me luck!

Welcome!

October 1, 2007

So this is my first blog… so yeah… about that. My purpose of joining this site is to gain lean mass, at present im about 6′3.5" and weigh only 160lbs. I used to play basketball and tennis in highschool, and now that im in college im still active and have even taken up taekwondo. Currently I am lifting  3-5 times a week for an hour at a time at the school rec center, doing taekwondo 3-4 hours a week, and playing pickup basketball for 2-3 hours a week. To gain mass I’m consuming roughly 4000 calories a day. If anyone can give me advice on how to gain lean mass, or help defining my abs more, or even just a few encouraging words, that would be great! Thanks,

K-dog
