<p>The first full week is complete! Be sure to post your total points on your blog or send them to me so I can tally who is where and share it with all of you!! Don&#8217;t forget, you have to completer at least ONE task from EACH category to count your points&#8230;.but I think everyone has been doing that wunderfully, darling!</p>
<p>For me.</p>
<p>Blog Responses 16 x2 point= 32</p>
<p>Group Activity 3 x 2 points = 6</p>
<p>Clean eating 4 x 2 = 8</p>
<p>Friends added at BB 2 x 1= 2</p>
<p>Weight work out 3.5 x 1 = 3.5</p>

<p>SLEEP!!! I am redeeming my 2 points for nutrition information! I wanted to make a 2 points available for acquiring 8 hrs sleep/night, but I FORGOT!! oops. So, we all know that sleep is important, but it is also important for general health because eight hours of sleep helps curb cravings!  Two important hormones;  Ghrelin and Leptin regulate hunger and satiety feelings. When sleep deprived, these hormones become unbalanced, altering their regulation. There is also a loss in the bodies ability to process glucose.  The results are increased craving, predominantly sugar and ultimately unwanted weight gain&#8230;.booo!!</p>

<p>I need to go and make some new friends, I sure don&#8217;t know all of you and look forward to meeting up with you all on the challenge.</p>
<p>My personal goals for the challenge does not include a weight or inch loss. I am just in it to experience it! Focus on clean eating and trying some new things!! But&#8230;If I was to shed a LAYER of LOVE (Juls term) then that would just be an extra bonus&#8230;and extra 2 points&#8230;or 4&#8230;.or 6!!!!</p>
<p>I hope people take the opportunity to post some personal photos&#8230;I love looking at those! hint hint!!  I am posting pics from a Sherman Hill Historical walk that I did last weekend. I&#8217;m using the photos as one of my personal beauties&#8230;.I love architecture and I&#8217;m crazy about doors!! <p><strong>In and Out Challenge </strong>focuses on building physical strength AND inner strength (in and out&#8230;get it??). We, the Jul and I, decided that we may focus too much on weight loss and inches lost that we may stray too far from the big picture&#8230;that it is really about total health, am I right??</p>
<p>The rules.</p>
<p>1) <strong>Copy and Paste</strong> this to you computer, you will need it to track your points!</p>
<p>2) It is a 1 monthe challenge. Starting Oct. 1st, running to Nov. 1st.  The goal is to finish with the highest points&#8230;BUT</p>
<p>3) You have to complete AT LEAST one tast from EACH categorie EVERY WEEK for you points to count!! Easy enough!!</p>
<p>4) Every Friday tally your points and post them on your blog, we will help track them!</p>
<p>5) Let us know by SEPTEMBER 29th if you are playing, so we can finalize out list of competitors&#8230;.any suggestions to bettering/changing the list will be appreciated and can be changed before the 1st!</p>
<p>SPIRIT:<br />
1 point for every new friend made on BB<br />
1 point. Go for a walk, alone!<br />
1 point. Buy a kid a cone (picture??)<br />
2 pt. for community service (post a picture)<br />

My darn wireless router at home as kicked the bucket! So using the computer at home is limited until that is replaced&#8230;the modem is in the kiddos room so he can play Xbox live, so unless I&#8217;m kickin it in his room (which I don&#8217;t see)&#8230;I won&#8217;t be using the computer. So, for now I a chill at work and write here. Gotta love the job sometimes&#8230;and it&#8217;s MY computer, so no tracing my tracks to the numerous visits to this site&#8230;THANK GOD!</p>
<p>Anywho. I kind of stopped my tally in the VT 36 point challenge b/c to me it seemed to just fizzle out&#8230;.am I right?? Maybe it was just me who fizzled! Anyway, Because of that&#8230;I would like to nominate <strong>PIXI </strong>as the OVERALL CHAMPION  of the challenge!!!  woohoooo!!!</p>
<p>No, but I have been working hard. Getting some milage built up and am still dedicated in the gym.  My eating has gone back up to my usual 1800-2000 kcal/day.  Maintance calories. Done some nibbles here, some there&#8230;.chocolate bite now and them. OH, BTW I am working a Cancer, Courgage and CHOCOLATE event on Thursday. They are rolling out the chocolate fountain and ALL THE WORKS, chocolate will be everywhere!! Goal??  One treat and then a gracious, &#8216;no thank you.&#8217; Ya, soooo about that&#8230;I will let you know how that goes! <img src='http://blog.bodybuilding.com/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /><br />
The new challenge is about to begin! Yippee, hippee, hirraa!!!! The Jul and I are rolling out a competition that is sure to please everyone AND be great for ALL the body!!! Details to follow SOON, how exciting!!!</p>

<p>7 miles of muddy hills and freezing waist high creeks are spread out through hill of corn fields. Freeze your a$$$ off and laugh doing it! 6,000 racers&#8230;.some half naked, some dressed in costume, some out to win it, some just to hang with friends and all just to enjoy the comradely!!</p>

<p>I am officially out of the Standing! I actually sent Jul my official notice of cheat last Monday&#8230;.gave in for a cocktail after work! No regrets though it was a good competition and the cheat was fun!</p>
<p>My labor day weekend is coming to a much regretful end, but I am looking forward to getting back into the routine I have developed for myself&#8230;you can only stray for such a short time, then I always come back to the lifestyle of clean eating, working hard and feeling great!</p>
<p>So&#8230;.a week in review:</p>
<p>Last Monday drinks &#8230;.-2 in the VT challenge</p>
<p>Workouts: Always good, in fact&#8230;the running has been awesome and improving!! Lots of outside time this last week, and the tan is improving, so double bonus!  5 runs and 4 lifts= 9 points.</p>
<p>Labor day extra curricular activities: Saturday, Lemon Tropical Snow (NOT the same as SNO-cones! MUCH different, and better!&#8230;YUM!!)  One of my favorite summer treats and just had to have ONE before summer makes it&#8217;s sad exit. - 3 points</p>
<p>Sunday: Pool, Grill, Beer- 2 points. Smores - 3points</p>
<p>Last week points: 17. This week total: 16. LOL!!! That&#8217;s OK though! Who knew it would take soo long to get to 36??? Funny! But my weekend has been great. I have really had a great chance to hang out with my friends and my kiddo and those opportunities are so few and far between. It was a good weekend.<br />
BUT&#8230;it is time to get back in check, cause this is what I love! I love the bodybuilding physique&#8230;.so as you know, that takes time, dedication and honesty.  <em>It is time to be dedicated&#8230;.honestly, teri! </em></p>
<p>Goals for the next week:</p>
<p>Monday: (today) 5 mi run&#8230;.check</p>
<p>Tuesday:  5 mi + Back, Bi, Abs</p>
<p>Wednesday: Ypump (all over body strength class) + 30 min cardio</p>
<p>Thursday: 6 mi + Abs<br />
Friday: Off day only b/c of work schedule</p>
<p>Saturday: 5mi + Legs, Shoulders, Abs<br />
Sunday:  Cardio</p>
<p>Somethin like that anyway&#8230;that JOB thing interfers with all my FUN!!! grrrr! <img src='http://blog.bodybuilding.com/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' />  Time to check on all my BB friends! I&#8217;m excited to read all about your weeks!!</p>

<p>This may, (or maybe not!) be my last week of the challenge. With labor day coming up, I REALLY want to chill by a lake and have a couple (or three) ICE COLD adult beverages!!!  Soooo, will keep you posted&#8230;sometimes I talk big, then opt for a diet pepsi instead! We will see, but right now it&#8217;s sounding pretty good!<br />
I actually skipped THREE DAYS of workout! I had three 12 hr days doing the work thing&#8230;. so that is acceptable&#8230;<em>right??? </em>Nooo, it&#8217;s not. <img src='http://blog.bodybuilding.com/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' />    Stop yelling at me!!!<br />
I need to post some progress pic, but I need time to mess with the camera, upload to the computer&#8230;blah, blah, blah. BUT&#8230;I have a VUNDERFUL 4 day weekend coming up so I have great plans to post some progress pics then.</p>
<p>VT 36 point challenge result:Monday: Legs + 45 cardio and run to and from gym=2 point</p>
<p>T/W/R: Off</p>
<p>Friday: Back/Bi run to and from gym=1 point</p>
<p>Saturday: Y-pump class (all over workout) + 35 min cardio= 2 point</p>
<p>Sunday: 1 hour cardio (doing after I post this!) = 1 point</p>
<p>Total for week=6 points. For the challenge = 16.

<p>As for the VT 36 day challenge, I started that last Sunday (Am I right??? That marks the first week??) Anyhoo, results follow for that one too. Good idea VT!!</p>
<p>Next week, I am back to work full time plus. Uuggh. I get spoiled fast having long workouts and really get bummed when that changes. So, even though I may have alot of VT points&#8230;that is sure to change soon!<br />

<p>Anyhoo, I&#8217;ve wanted to post a couple of my favorite recipes hoping that others will do the same&#8230;because I just LOVE new ideas!!! I&#8217;ve thought about doing this for awhile and someone mentioned it on Jul&#8217;s blog, so I am starting the ball running!</p>
<p>This is my favorite Eggs N Oats recipe. It is my recipe, made up because I got sick of scrubbing my egg pan EVERYDAY!!!  These great bars are perfect for an on-the-go breakfast, I make them twice a week and just keep in the fridge&#8230;. I am good to go!!! Perfect for us working Joe&#8217;s!!</p>
<p><strong>Eggs N Oats To Go </strong></p>
<p>20 egg whites<br />
1 1/2 c. Old Fashioned Oats or Quick Oats (your favorite!)<br />
1/2 c. milled Flax Seed</p>
<p>1/3 c. soy milk (any fluid; water, skim milk)</p>
<p>1tsp pure vanilla<br />
1/2 tsp almond extract<br />
1 tsp. cinnamon</p>
<p>splenda to taste/optional</p>
<ul>
<li>Coat 9&#8243; by 9&#8243; square baking pan with cooking spray</li>
<li>Preheat oven to 375 (I forgot to really note this, I just pop it in the oven and let it cook)</li>
<li>Mix all ingredients together</li>
<li>Pour into coated pan</li>
<li>Cook ~20 minutes or unit cooked through</li>
<li>Cool serve warm or chilled, great with blackberry sugar free jelly!</li>
<li>Makes 4 generous bars</li>
</ul>
<p>Nutrition Facts:</p>
<p>Per one square: 280 calories, 27 gCHO.  Lots of lean protein with omega 3s, whole grain and fiber! Good stuff!!</p>
