A little over 8 weeks out

Well.. I went to the chiropractor, and seems like the root of all evil in my back starts with my neck.  I have reverse curvature of my neck, so from there you can imagine the domino effect down my spine….hmmmm…..no big whoop i guess.  I am lifting and moving like normal……rolling with the pain and cracking. 

 

I am about 153-154 right now, and need to lose about 12-15 lbs still.  Well I expect to roll into the competition at the end of August around 140.  If i get near 145 I will be VERY proud of myself!!!  I have started Muscle Milk Protein drink, which I have never done in the past.  I have always gone supplement free for the most part.  I am trying a sort of mostly LIQUID diet, to control my calorie intake, but still get nutrients and enough protein.  NOT HEALTHY I KNOW…consult a DR or dietician.  All in all my goal is to lose the baby weight I have been letting myself hang on to for the last 2 years, and this competition is my motivation.!!  I expect to keep my weight around the 150 mark post season…(and forever until we decide to have another baby!!)

 Still going to attempt FIGURE at the NPC PA Champs in August, then gonna try to do the Mountain VAlley in Reading PA.  If I can still stick to things, I will do as many as I can Until the end of the year, and plan on doing a few more April MAY and June of next year.  I may still do Bodybuilding in a few shows….we’ll see what i look like compared to other in these crazy FIGURE comps.  Wish me luck.  I may chuck the stripper heels and bust out a Front double Bicep anyway!!  Progress pictures to come soon

 

11 Weeks out

I am 11 weeks out from the first show I want to do. And getting a little scared.  I feel like the next 10 lbs are forever a way, and 11 weeks sounds real close.  I am trying to cycle a few days of core exercises and 60 min of cardio with 2-3 days of specific lifting.  Seems to be doing well…I am stil around 156-157, so i really need to gear into my diet and see what needs to be cut.  I am at the point now where i know it is the time for NO SALT, NO SUGAR, NO DAIRY, NO BREAD NNONONONONONO!!  I am just not ready to give it up.  Anyone who has dietied for a competition knows how much work it is to just get meals prepared; you are continuously shopping fresh and cooking and cutting up premade snacks etc.  My house hold, we have 3 different meals going(of rme, my husband, and my 2 year-old)  I have days where I long for something out of the box or bag!!! 

 

On anothre note, i have mentioned before that I have a nagging back issue, and I am seriously considering seeing a Doctor.  Going to get an appointment so should have news or updates in a few weeks…………. i know that "REST" will be in his vocabulary…so I guess it will bother me intil well after September.

Week 8…day 57 of the diet

We moved to our new house, so I finally have internet and cable again.  My Week 7 of diet was embarrassing, a lot of hard work for 6 weeks to turn around and blow things every other day for a week.  I really tried to stay "good".  I did keep up with the gym, and it was a mostly cardio week for me, not that it makes the binging ok or anything.  But I am losing weight, did not gain any through all of it.  I am at 157, and i was hoping to be about 155 right now, so I have a little more work to do by the start of week 9.  If I can get my ass back to being strict, I should be ok.

I went to the Kumite Classic to check out the Figure competition and get motivated.  I was sad about the womens bodybuilding turnout, and the look of the girls in the figure.  FAP is different, I know, but if i were onstage next to those girls, it wouldnt be pretty.  None of them had the "look" i pictured in my mind that i wanted to look like at competition level.  Hopefully NPC will show some stronger, athletic and lean girls with more muscle.

My feet and heels have been sore, and still having the lower back issue.  I need to go to the chiropractor, but scared to!!
