Diet Changes - Added Zija

Monday, October 13th, 2008

I saw a nutritionist on Thursday and spent $325 for the doctor to tell me to switch from oatmeal to cream of rice, to eat egg yokes, and to eliminate brown rice.  Instead, eat white rice.   Also, load up on antioxidants.   My body fat is at 14.9%.  I’m very healthy.  It’s not exactly what I was looking for but we did spend over an hour discussing how the body responds to proteins, carbs and fats.  I also added Zija to my diet.  Zija is a delicious, all-natural beverage blended from a miracle plant called Moringa, considered by many to be the most nutrient-rich plant ever discovered.  I really like it.  It has 5 carbs, 2 sugars and 19 calories. It has no chemicals or preservatives.  I drink it before my AM workout.  I’m upset.  I’m drank my last one this morning.

Zija claims to improve in your digestion, vision, mental clarity, overall well-being, plus a reduction in symptoms associated with fatigue, diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, and aging. We will see.

Post Olympia 2008

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

I think I’m more depressed after returning from the Olympia than I was before I got there.  There were 20+ pro women on stage that were ahead of me physique wise.  They all looked beautiful too.  Their hair and makeup were perfect.  I was very proud of them.   They are my friends.

I have rested for 10 days now.   I have not lifted a weight.  It’s funny because my butt still hurts from doing all those pop squats.  I am ready to train again.   Also, I’m meeting with a well respected nutritionist in Memphis.  I have prepare my own diet in the past but I need help because I am coming into to lean.

Wish me luck.

I will also miss Steve Stone.  When I saw that he was the head expediter, I relaxed.  He genuinely cared for each competitor.   For some reason he was called home.
