My Transformation

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

Hey there,

Well here I am. My name is John Rahn and I am 24 years old. I Graduated from Binghamton University 2007 and dicided that a changed of lifestyle was what I needed. I was an athlete all my life, played two years of college basketball before hanging up the kicks. I was always in pretty good shape. I started lifting weights when I was in high school thanks to my brother always pushing me a round in the driveway and saying "Get big BITCH!" HAHA.. What a dick. Ehh well he was my motivation. I set my goals high in highschool and knew I wanted to play college basketball. I worked hard and did!

When my hoops career ended so did my cardio regimine… To say the least. I never liked doing cardio but ballin always ‘made’ you run. I When it ended I changed colleges and started being a "normal" college guy. I was partying and eating bad. I was still lifting though, and hard. I put on some serious size in school. I got my self up to 230lbs. Obviously wit a slight guy. I can pull off a tummy, I got the height. I hated it though.

I needed a change and wanted to look like the guys in every magazine I read. I am not talking about the Cutlers, Colemans, FREAKS!! ( I respect them though-great competitors) I wanted the lean and muscular look, you know the one the chix dig.. So I graduated January 2007 and decided March 2007 was my month to start the process. March is my birthday month so I figured for my 23rd birthday I would "REFOCUS & MAKE IT HAPPEN."

Well I started reading my fitness magazines and looking for supplements to use. I was alwasy a big fan of Hydroxy cut, so I got my self some and  a few other things that would help me along the way. I had my protein, creatine, multi, fish oils, etc… I Knew a fair amount about the cutting process but the major and key aspect was still vague to me. THE DIETING/NUTRITION OF IT ALL!!! I had the South Beach Diet in my hand. This diet worked for me one summer before I went back to school, like I said, " I knew a fair amount about what I was doing. So I went with the Soth Beach Diet 9 the first two weeks program, its the toughest but I wanted results). I was not a patient guy. I lost weight and fast. I went from 230-200 in about three months time. I was eating 6 meals a day (very small). I was for sure not getting all my nutrients in and definately not getting enought protein. I had to say thought I was looking cut and people were noticing. They actually noticed so much that I got told, "You should try modeling." AHHH..! That statement~changed my life. I said hey maybe I should! I contacted an agent and got some pics, Those pics got me to meet with another agent. This agent wanted me to attend a convention in NYC, known as the IMTA (International Modeling and Talent Association 2007). I was going to be their fitness model. I was psyched and knew that I could accomplish this and maybe even get noticed by some serious modeling agencies. My diet and exercise went up, I needed to get into great shape and fast. I got some books from Men’s HEALTH, One was about Nutrition and the I started eating less.. BIG MISTAKE~I KNOW… I lost more wieght, I got to 182lbs. I am 6′3" and haven’t been that light since fresh yr high school.
