every week my weights have been increasing in the gym… not a lot everytime, but a rep here, 5 pounds there…

this is consistent for the past several months and by no means am I a beginner….

I don’t get it, but I rather like it.

Shits and more shits

I can’t believe Imus got ****ing fired….. for saying shit that black people say every-goddamn-day…. and especially rappers.  It is getting tiresome to hear black people say whitey, cracker and all these white jokes and nothing is done, but god forbid nappy headed ho is used…

Granted it was a stupid thing to say, but Imus is a cantankerous old **** and that is how he is.  I hate the guy, think he is boring, unfunny, passe’ and retarded, but free speech still exists.  He didn’t use a racial slur, perse.  And to go and talk to AL SHARPTON for ****s sake?!?!?!  This is the same guy who wanted to burn white people for a "rape" of Tawana Brawley that NEVER HAPPENED.  The bitch LIED and he led a witch hunt to ruin their lives and he never once apologized for it.  He is the biggest race baiter in the history of race baiters.

If we are to ever truly be equal in society we have to get rid of the likes of Al, but that won’t happen.  There will always be a black person who loves to make excuses and look to the white man for his problems.  Al thrives on race-disunity and nothing is done about it.  Every ****ing time there is a race problem in NYC he is there to fuel the fire.  Where is he when black cops are shot and killed…. where is he when Wesley (black man) saved that man on the subway tracks in NYC?  Nowhere…

Rugby in the Spring

I have decided to shelve rugby for the spring season for a myriad of reasons.  I have just started to get back to heavy lifting and I would like to enter another strongman contest in the summer, rugby doesn’t allow for my body to recuperate fully.  I have a testy right knee that I want to rehab before I go back out and get hit every game and potentially causing a major problem.

Mostly the strongman training.  I really miss competing in those contests and would like to do it one last time before the fall season.  Plus the training will really help my playing.  At the height of my training I was 235 with a 650+ pull and explosive power.  When I played rugby during that time I was a machine.  My power in the pack was unbeatable.  I want to get back to that, I spent far too much time doing kettlebell training and bodyweight exercises and ruining my power.

damn it feels good to be…

a gangsta…  Its been a couple weeks since I have been at the gym and all I can say is that I really missed it.

I didn’t lose much at all, the home workouts have kept my power up.  About the only exercise I lost a little in is squats but that has been rapidly coming back to what it should be.

If you read any of my posts you would know my style of training and what I value in the lifting world.

It’s only a matter of time before I get back to my 2003-2004 level of strength when I was winning strongman contests and using that power to dominate on the rugby pitch.

Rejoined a gym today

February 11, 2007

Finally rejoined a gym today after working out at home for months…. World Gym in West Babylon, NY.  I love my kettlebells and bodyweight exercises but it isn’t enough for me.  I feel myself slowly losing what I once had and I need to get that back.  So….. now back to the weights.  :)
